i like those rims temple, what wrong with his wing it isnt to bad compared to some of the other wings, and i think his is carbon fiber and short. so it looks good to me

I think the wing looks upside down and backwards. It's not all that bad on that car though. I think black with polished lip looks the best on the silver elantra but that car does look pretty nice with them. I'm just not a fan of a car being all blacked out.

I wanna get 15 inch black wheels with a polished lip for my car, I think it would look great especially since my car is lowered. Im not into the 17 and 18 inch rims.

Oh and I did notice the little mirrors that couldent.. I just didnt wanna waste energy typing a insult about them. :D

man you guys are harsh on the guy. why do you guys call it rice. are the guys that are import tuner do the same thing. actually let see if it is a gt, the only thing that wouldn't be right is the r, can someone tell me what the r stands for. I know we do the avante, but that is for a korean car are we in korea, last time i checked we werent so that isnt right either. its not like he put honda, or nissan he put gt-r .so if he would of cut the r out then it would be ok since our cars have gt models. so are we trying to be like korean and put avante, or racing since that is what they put on in korean, if you look at some of the cars in korea they do put gt-r on some of them hell i seen some funkier badges on korean cars.

If it was a generic GT badge, most of us wouldn't care. But that's a Skyline GT-R badge and last I checked, our car is a Hyundai, not a Nissan.

Just like SI is a Honda Badge, and SE-R is another Nissan Badge, GT-R is reserved for Nissans. It's the same thing as putting an SS (chevy) or SVT (ford) badge on the car.

The differnce between Korean and US spec models is small. The difference is they have aftermarket companies that make parts (like turbo systems) they can get their hands on. It has nothing to do with the manufacture of the car for the Korean or US market. Most of the Korean cars don't even get teh 2.0L we have, which would technically make our cars 'better'.

well then tell me why we can get a ecu tunned here but they can in korean if it so close to being the same why can we just stick a tibby ecu in our and boost it like t they do in korean. so let me get this straight if they guy would of made his own badge that said gt-r it would be ok. so his only flaw on the badge is he used one from another manufacture. but it would of been ok for him to do gt-r in his own emblem.

It's the same car. If it's the 2.0L version (most of the Korean's aren't) it has the same engine, ECU, and drivetrain as our cars. If it's the smaller 4cyl (1.6L), that is totally different than our engine (weaker). There is another thread around here that states the 2.0L Tib ECU and 2.0L XD ECU are the same component, with no differences. A 2.0L Tib is a 2-door Elantra, same stuff makes it go.

You could certainly get a car in the U.S. identical to kdmguys, if you wanted to spend the money to import all the parts, you could have it.

Japan is not Korea, and Honda is not Hyundai. You can't use that comparison, fairly. Hyundai designs their cars for a global market, and sells them in their own area as well. There are not 2 different setups for domestic and foreign markets. Hyundai has no 'secret engines' that they are hoarding on the KDM and not letting anyone else have. It comes down to simple demand... if there were as many Hyundais in North America as there were Fords, we'd have stuff to put on them too.

Guy your not making sense over here.. My car looks NOTHING like a grandma/grandpa car.. Take a look at my car.. I get compliments on my car all the time from people, of course theres people who will hate because its a hyundai, but fu*k em.

As for badges.. The bottom line is that you just dont put a GT-R badge on a hyundai, you dont miss badge ANY CAR if you are a true modder. The advante badge is for the elantra so it goes with the car, its whats SUPPOSE to be there.

Yes I tried to tint my headlights and I didnt suceed so I stripped the nightshade off. At least I tried and thats all that matters. My red calipers are not rice, they look good and match well.

If my car looks stock to you then you MUST like a rice burner with a HUGE wing and a HUGE bodykit and lights all over it and some badges that dont go with the car.

It is simple blastation, I really do not care what mod someone does to their car, as long as it is safe for the road and they like it. BUT putting another cars badge on your car is just plain stupid and will never be cool or accepted by anyone who truly knows cars. Not too many would agree that is cool. I dont wanna go to a show with go against guys who have a huge bankroll to get body kits and huge wings and miss matched badges for there cars, thats not my cup of tea.. My cup of tea is going to a huge parking lot with a whole bunch of guys who take whatever extra money they have at the end of the week when they get there pay check and look at there cars with just a simple drop, some engine and exhaust work and maybe some basic interior work.

I still would not agree with it. I have a GLS, like him. If I put even a Hyundai "GT" on it instead, I am a fake. The car is GLS and will always be, I do not care if I do everything different to it to make it a GT. The VIN will always be a GLS. The avante thing is totally different because it is just a different name for the same car, a lot of cars have that. It is still wrong, but on a way different level.

Anyway, whats that expression to each his own. Basically everyone has their own opinions on things. Not everyone is going to like the same thing.
Some people like tinted windows others dont. Everyone is going to have something to say about something. 15" rims look better then 17" or 17" rims look better then 15". People have their own taste.
When I had my champagne Elantra and had purple under the hood I was told it didnt match. I couldnt care less it was his opinion but I like purple and didnt care what was said about it.
Like I said everyone is going to have their own taste on things and no not everyone is going to like it and thats where the critiscism comes in. A lot of people can dish it but they cant take it.
This was about getting black rims with a black car and a picture was posted of someone elses car who doesnt even belong to the site so I dont even think it was right to post that without permission.
