I have a cadence amp and 6" rears. fronts splits and a 12" subbie + capator.
Now i know not to run the system wile the cars not on.
So last week my battery died it was about 1 yr old. at the moment when eva i put park my car i pop the hood and take the cable for the system of the battery. ive checked and the amp turns off but not the compacator. now my question is: can the compacator drain the battery if i left it on the battery. or was it jst tym for the battery to go last time?

get a volt stabilizer, if it doesnt help the audio drainage... you at least will have bulbs that will last a lot longer :)

Make sure the terminals are tight. I thought my battery had died. Come to find out, the negative terminal was loose enough to pull off.

my battery died after bout a year, warranty replaced it for free. I was only running 400watt amp, now i'm running two amps and still have no probs. It may just be a defective battery.

Are you playing the system when the car is off?

No, the cap will not cause the battery to die. I agree with the others, loose connection or a bad battery.

If you are able to, Optima Yellow tops are recommended for systems and they perform great otherwise.
