What movie did you see? I ask because it's important to see who they are targeting.

actually, you know what...my wife dragged me out to "American Dreamz" a couple of weeks ago, and they showed a 3dr accent commercial there as well. Didn't remember till I read this post. To tell you the truth, I tried to block everything from the moment just before I purchased the tickets! haha

you guys can;t buy these yet??? this one was on the lot about a month ago or so in saskatoon... he quoted me about$17 or $18 grand for one with all the conveinience package and stuff....

Makes sense that you guys are seeing commercials up there. Right now HMA is worried about selling more Sonatas and Azeras.

News lately indicates that the Santa Fe will be available at the end of June, so I wonder if this is going to sneak in before that.

Nice to see the 3 door making it to the market somewhere! I find it interesting that only the premium model will get the side and curtain airbags and rear disc brakes in Canada. I wonder how these will be opted in the US. I'm curious to see the prices and specs on the stripped down models when they roll out here.

I was shocked at the prices then remembered it was Canadian. Even still, it seems like it would be hard to sell these when they have the Elantra at nearly the same prices ... especially with rebate offers. Makes me wonder how much they will jack the prices on the 2007 Elantra.

Alienman- they might be out here already too, I just haven't driven by any dealers to look. They had the 4-doors out here pretty quick on the road... I think the first delivery at my local dealer got sold pretty quickly.

I remember back in January when I was up in Canada seeing commercials for the 4dr Accent & I don't think it was yet available here in the US either. They seem to get stuff first up there. I notice the colors & equipment aren't always the same though between the US & Canadian car markets.

I was coming back from Michigan Thursday and saw a green 3 door on a carrier, for anyone who has seen a Mustang I believe Sublime green that was the color it was, a very light color. We got our first accent 3 Door in Friday. It is dark blue and is a GLS with the Premium Pack. which adds a 6 Speaker audio system and Air for $1,350. I believe the price was $13,500, base price is $11,400. I drove it and I gotta say this car is stiff competition for the subcompacts. It drives better than the sedan and has a very nice european look. It also has Altezza-like lights. The interior was black too, which isn't available on the sedan. The only complaint I have about it is that the rear window is pretty small. 37/28 for gas mileage which is 1 MPG better than the sedan I believe. We also got a white GLS hatch which immediately sold.

Just saw my first Accent hatch on the road today! I really don't like the green color on this one but it's a nice looking car.

I saw my first 3 door on the road a few days ago ... light metallic blue ... I liked it! I'd buy one if they'd drop the a 1.8 with about 130 horse in it. Oh ... and put some padding on the armrests.

I thought it was cool the way the line of the rear quarter window carries right across the line of the top of the rear window and the visor (or spoiler or whatever that piece is called).

I got my 03 gt for $14k out the door. Now with hyundai getting more expensive it makes me feel like crap cause if I were to by my car today, no way I could afford it.

yea, i passed a hyundai dealership a few hours ago. they had a whole row of em. they had one orange one. kinda looks like a 3 door yaris for some reason.

the accent i saw had the alloy wheels. it does ALOT for the whole look of the car.

When I saw Tokyo Drift Hyundai advertised before the movie and they did it before Pirates too. Maybe it's a regional thing? I know Hyundai is based out here in SoCal not far from the Huntington Beach area.
