I have joined another forum and they seem to use the same software. When clicking on the New Posts button it does a couple of different things that at first I didn't know if I would like but I have started to appreciate them.
1) I gives the last 200 Newest Posts that have not been viewed. If there are only say 50 new posts since you were last on, it separates that and gives a new title "The following new posts were not viewed the last time you were on".
2) If you have viewed/posted in some of the new posts already, then it takes them away the next time you click on the New Posts button - that is unless someone else has posted after you then it would still appear.
