Mustang owners seem to be some of the most loyal Ford customers. Way to piss them all off, geniuses.

As bad as that may seem, I still don't think they can top Monster, the maker of audio/video cables, etc. who went after any company with Monster in their name, even Monster.com, a company that's in a completely different category of business. If you go to monster.com, at the very bottom they have to post a link for Monster Cable.

Ah, the old RIAA/MPAA sinking ship philosophy.
If you can't make a decent product, sue the crap out of your existing fanbase.
Let them all rot.

That is in no way right. Ford should have no right to do this sort of thing.
The Gas station example alone proves that Ford has officially dropped below the Dirty rotten low life Scumbag level. Going after anyone that uses the Word Mustang in their name is foolish and stupid, as the word itself existed for years upon years before Ford even existed.
This just leads me more and more to believe that a good start to solving society's woes would be to rid the world of Lawyers.

The St. Louis Rams (I think it was St. Louis back then) sued my school and any other sporting organization for the use of the name Rams (it was my school team name and mascot- The Central Rams). I heard it got thrown out of court and we all know what happened to the Rams.
I hope Ford Motor Co. gets the shaft from this too...

Wonder if they are going to sue Gillette. They have the Gillette Fusion just like Ford has the Fusion. The only thing is I swear I remember those two making a commercial together but not really sure. If you look at it the Gillette Fusion is the first hand razor with 6 blades and the Ford Fusion is the first car in its class to have a 6 speed automatic. WOW are we in the twillite zone or what. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ADJUST THE SCREEN. WE ARE TAKING OVER YOUR RECEPTION AND YOU ARE NOW IN THE TWILLITE ZONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha, well. That was sort of funny.
This is unbeliable. (as everyone has already stated)
Sad thing is, Ford has more money than everyone of us and everyone they're suing combined. Ford wins.

it's times like these that I wish the person who came up with the word "Mustang" was actually around to countersue for Ford stealing it from them without paying for the rights. I understand that they are mainly going after car parts manufacturers and that partially makes sense, but when did a normal english word (Mustang: Small hardy range horse of the western plains descended from horses brought by the Spanish) become property of Ford Motor Company. It's absurd and should be thrown out of court.

Wow. Greedy little bastards, aren't they? I'm appalled that the courts even let something like that in. Just shows what money can buy you nowadays.

Yea... Mr. Uzi Nissan who owns that computer comp has been in legal battle with Nissan Motor Co for a while.
It's different though... Nissan is their actual car brand (not just a model). How many people a day type in Nissan.com to go to Nissan (auto) homepage? Thousands?

Yeah, but a 10 Millions law suit is not a good thing to get back that .com! They got even less chance of getting it because Nissan Comp existed before Nissan Motor ... but as stated on the law suit saga : Mississipi changed their laws so that Nissan Motor could build a plant over the right of US citizen ... ah corruption ... we gotta love it!

remember mikerowesoft.com?? Microsoft was suing this kid Mike Rowe, who was doing web page programming or something... once the media picked it up though, Microsoft changed it's tune... some small mom&pop place just needs to do a media blitz condemming Ford's actions. That'll learn 'em.

Hyundai sent me a similar letter. HA, that would mean they care about us here at EXD.
To stay on topic, yeah, that seems pretty crazy. Oh wells, Ford is Ford I guess.

This was back in the mid 1800's - where was Henry then?????
The Mustang is a feral horse found now in the western United States. The name Mustang comes from the Spanish word mesteņo or monstenco meaning wild or stray. Originally these were Spanish horses or their descendants but over the years they became a mix of numerous breeds. These were the horses which changed the lives of the Native Americans living in or near the Great Plains. As European settlers came farther west they brought their horses with them. Some were lost to Indian raids, others were freed as wild stallions tore down fences to add the tame mares tn his herd or tame horse escaped from settlers as the original horses had escaped from the Spanish. Draft breeding was among the horses which added to the Mustang herds. Also the Indians bartered and captured horses between tribes, making the distribution more complete.
Henry Ford Jr and company better watch out. I hear the Indians (American that is) are sharpining their arrows. Makes me glad I am a Chevy Guy, Hyundais as well - lol
