It feels the same as the XD.All Hyundais are underpowered in my eyes.I had it weighed saturday on my way home from work and it weighed in at 2940 lbs.That was only 80 lbs more than my elantra.My fix...take the rear seats and cleaning stuff out.That freed up 54 lbs.They are a bit more nimble but thats expected.

I wish I could upload the pics of the T/C onto my computer but when I had to reformat it,I lost all my programs and can't find the driver disc for the photo program.I have tried other ways of uploading them but my computer won't recognize the camera without that damned driver :(

Ah don't be skeert.Mine is so clean because it's too new.Im one of very few that don't give a rats arse about the warranty.Hyundai tries to fight everything anyway lol

As soon as I get the intercooler,it's dyno time.I may be in the market for some 1.8 rods and pistons soon :)

yeah man, if I could do it again. Pistons and rods the frirst time around. But you live and you learn. I think what you did was a good idea, buying a car you already knew how to work on and doing what you wanted with it from the beginning.

You know though,this car has so much room for a turbo but I wish I would have kept my Elantra.But like you said,you live you learn.Hope to have the intercooler this week.
The closest place I found will dyno the car on a Mustang dyno for 100 bucks an hour.I guess thats not too hateful.Im goin to have it dyno'ed at probably 11 or 12 psi for now til I get the lower end squared away

Nice Tib man but again sorry to hear about your luck at the track. I hope sometime this fall once the car is put away for snowy season to upgrade my IC and piping. I need to find more power now, I dont feel the kick that the turbo has given now...unless of course im at full boost and pulling away from someone...but I do think the Alpine IC is at its peak efficiency now so an upgrade is needed.

i DON'T KNOW WHY SOO MANY PEOPLE HERE don't like the delta , we have it on our 2002 sonata and actually it's a really awesome engine, it's not slow , and there's still mods you can do to it, our engines on the elantra aren't that great at all,, we have to floor them just to get them to go, my friend's civics spools up soo much faster and I swear i'm supose to have like 20-30 more hp's than him, and a good 40 lbs of torque on top of him.

Thats what I said too.It goes deeper than just the quarter panel too :(
There are quite a few blemishes that they are goin to have to fix.I mean how hard is it to clean the vehicle before you paint it? There is smudges of dirt under the clear near the gill on the drivers side.And the "safe" tire shine that the body shop uses somewhat stained the paint.It took me almost an hour to scub the crap off of my car

Yea,I wish I could have got a Cf hood but couldn't wait that long.The spoiler has been off for quite sometime now.Now it goes back in the shop this week so they can match up the rear quarter to the rest of the car and redo the l/f fender.Hopefully this time they won't paint over the dirt this time

If the car had a wider set of wheels/tires on it, it wouldn't really look that much off without the spoiler. I think these cars look good w/out the spoiler, as long as the shoes are the right size.
