I did this before. Look back by the intake manifold should be a blue or green cap. Remove that and put the quick connect fitting in and go to town.

Return the kit, and get it done professionally. What you are trying to do is illegal. You aren't allowed to touch the A/C system unless you are EPA609 certified. It is impossible to know what is going on with your car with one of those kits. You have to have both guages hooked up in order to know what's happening.

I've done it myself before and it's pretty easy. Don't pay a professional to do a 5 min job. You'll save yourself a ton of money by just buying the $20 kit. Not only that but next time you'll have the guage and hoses/fitting to do this on another car or a friend's car.

but you still MUST have both lines attatched (high side and low side).

This is so true. Mine only lasted a couple weeks before it stopped.

^^
you possible over charged the a/c system, causing something to leak out all the freon (r12) in the system.

All cars now use R134A, not R12...

If it's lost it's cool than you have a leak somewhere.Get it checked by a pro.If not you may be sorry later.

Sad thing is Hyundai had it for three days trying to figure out what was wrong. They recharged it worked great for three months then stopped again. Bad thing is the warranty is up. And I already tried to have them fix it again but they said not under warranty, even though they fixed it when it was under warranty. Tuff luck!
