If your door panel is off and you have your speaker out, the speaker holes each have a plastic what I call a "sunken" screw. It simply plugs in and locks in place, and then the screw which holds the speaker in threads through the plastic piece.
Where can I get more of those?

I've had my speakers out, but don't remember what the part you are talking about looked like. Obviously, you could get them from the dealer ($$$). However, Pep-Boys has a whole section of different types of fasteners, plugs, clips, etc. that may have what you're looking for. Other than that- junk yard?

Yeah, the speakers' screws don't thread into the metal, they thread into a plastic joint which sits in the actual hole.
I'm not a big fan of pep boys, but I'll check out what they have.

Kinda like what bolts the battery cover to the frame. I friggin hate those things. They're flimsy as anything, and a righteous pain to get out when you need to.

I get stuff like that at the junkyard.
