Found this site last night while looking for performance parts for my 02 GLS. My brother is into modding VWs, so I figured I'd look to see what was available for my Elantra. I love my car. I got it brand new in 02 with 9 miles on it. I've put 88,000 on it since and it's still running strong!

As far as modifications go the only thing I've done to it is remove the Hyundai and GLS badge and relocate the Elantra badge to the bottom of the trunk lid. I'll have to take a pic to post here.

I want to do a short throw shifter next and a CAI, then an exhaust. I'm hoping to learn quite a few things here.

Certianly wasn't my GLS because me and my brother just did the badges today and I'm usually no where near Brodheadsville.

No biggy.

I don't know if I'm gonna keep the badge there. I was looking at getting an Avante XD badge instead.

Not sure if I'm going to shave them all. I'm trying to find a new grille I like. Think I'll leave the rear slanted H on though.

I live in Sweet Valley PA on State Route 118. It's about 30 minutes west of Wilkes-Barre and 35 minutes(depending on how fast you drive) northeast of Bloomsburg.

I commute to Bloomsburg almost everyday for work and college. It's a 32 mile drive one way. Some very nice curves along the way and mostly 55 MPH the whole way. Of course I usually cruise along at 65.

Welcome to the site!

We'll see you in October in Pittsburgh. Be there or be... square? I don't know.

There's an event in Pittsburgh?! Interesting. I'd be embarrassed to take my car to something like that considering the sorry shape it's in at the moment.

Unfortunately I've got quite a few dings from inconsiderate people on my car.

Thanks for the welcome.

Here it is with the badges gone and the Elantra badge moved to the lower part of the trunk lid.

Luckily you can't see any of the scratches or dings and dents in this image. If anything the car needs a new paint job and all the dings removed. I got a ding in my drivers side door not two weeks after I got the car. Since then I've gotten about 8 or 9 more.

I'm out in the western part of Luzerne county. I'm about 30 minutes (give or take) from the WVM. I'm about 8 minutes from Rickett's Glen State Park, if you know where that is.

I got my car from Wyoming Valley Motors.

Like mentioned, the meets are just that, meets. It's not like a car show for hardcore people who need to have everything perfect. 99% of our cars have the same problems you have, no big deal.

Basically we all get together to make fun of Evan and Sean.

Well I'll certainly think about it. Get to know you guys a little better. And hopefully you'll all get to know me a little better.

From what I was told from Dentmasters out here Hyundai uses pretty thin sheet metal so our cars tend to ding and dent easier. I have 4 pulled and have a couple others here or there but those are on the bodyline which aren't going to be that easy to remove. Otherwise, I'm like what Evan wants to be...in the back of every single parking lot taking up two spaces.
