S3/Triple Crown Tuner PICS (56k will die)

well...the meet was awesome. there were about 20 tibs, 2 XDs (me and cornbread), 2 RDs and the guy from hyundai drove the new 07 santa fe.

i will start by saying thanks so much to Curt McAllister (from hyundai). i have never been to s3 before, and i will say, the meet was amazing. i was only able to attend saturday, but between the meet, dinner, etc, i was highly suprised. hyundai did a GREAT job of helping sponsor this meet.

to those who missed it...you missed out BIG time. i didnt get there until 2ish...checked out the hyundais, went over to watch the racing (a lot of cobalts/rx8s/rsxs's/and i saw a tib out there), went over to another spot, watched more racing (new mustangs, caddy cts-v's, porsches, 350z's etc)...amazing...then we checked out the drifting competition...3 240sx's and 1 corolla AE86 (i believe)...pretty sweet...considering there were only 4 cars...

we then went and watched the le mans cars (i believe thats what theyre called) and all the porsches/m3/c5/c6s on the track...first came the porsches then the le mans, then they all got mixed up caus those le mans cars are so damn fast...we then went back for the raffle drawings...awesome prizes. XM radio for car/home with gift cards, DVDs, subwoofers, one guy won a 200 watt home stereo system....hyundai really went all out. we went and watched a bit more racing then went to dinner, which was some of the best steak ive ever had

yes...SDS tib belongs to ForceFedFlesh on NT. the red alpine s/c tib w/ the "I WHINE" license plate belongs to MrPhotoman on NT, and is alpine stage 3 s/c'ed..so nice. also saw a older guy in an i4 tib that suprised the **** out of me when he showed me the nitrous kit hooked up to it. a lot of other nice tibs there

AFAIK s3 is a yearly event for the last 3 years...its the tibs big national meet (i guess last year there were 32 tibs or so)...keep an eye out next summer

Man I should have drove up for that. Oh well. I think I know the guy in the 240 with out a front bumper. I met him at a Eclipse/Stratus/RSX meet at Alum Creek in April. He was friends with one of the local Eclipse owners. And he was driving then with out the front bumper. He said he was making a custom bumper because non of the kits out there allowed enough air to get to that huge inner cooler.
