Its alright.

What does it have to do with an Elantra XD? And whats that over on the right?

Well, my "name" is t-storm, so this being the cause for the picture. I own an elantra, just haven't taken a picture yet and off to the right is my real name in Chinese.. Once I can take some good photo's of my car, the whole sig will come together. By the way what does your sig have to do with anything? Not bashing, just wondering what it is all about.

I like it. Should be sweet when you get a pic of your car in it. My only gripe would be the lettering. The outlining is distracting and makes it a little hard to distinguish. Maybe you could go with just white instead of the black with the white outlining.

Or you could just make the letters in a different color than black since it's all dark anyway... Maybe blue could do the trick. Other than that, nice sig.

So, does your name mean 'moral'?
Like the moral of a story?
Do you pronounce it like 'de'?

I am not Chinese and my limited translating skills are sketchy at best, so sorry if I am mistranslating.

I like the idea of the sig, but the execution is not so hot. Improvements to be made:

1. Make it SMALLER. It's not uncommon for new people to have a sig that's two large; part of the challenge of a good sig is saying as much as possible in the least space.

2. The letters should be in a contrasting color; the outlining doesn't do it.

3. This is a car board. The sig needs a car.

the sig sucks. its put together horrible, the grain effect is horrid and the text is barely visible. It sucks.

resize to smaller dimensions - that would help a little.

well the thread was seeking opinions about his sig right? I might have been harsh but honestly, what do you guys think of that signature graphic?

Honestly a few things to think about.

Size ratio; Your image is far too wide perspective view your aiming for, it could have been resized and made a lot more clear than it is now.

The color scheme; It doesn't really match, just because your signature image is of a darker range doesn't mean the text has to be dark.

The grain effect, I'm not sure what you were trying to achieve with that but it downgraded the quality of the image.

I'm no instructor of any means so what I say is purely based out of my opinion from experience but now I feel I might have to redo my sig cause I think its bout that time.

Keep working at it and just because your dealing with design doesn't mean you shouldn't read into it. The more you know, the better your off being.

And most of it conveys no useful information. It could easily be squished to about 100 pixels tall.

yes but it was beautifully executed whether it has a meaning or not

Sure it could be squished down to 100pixels, of course thats if those were the rule guidelines to having signatures. So I took the largest size that was present at the time and made it that size. I wasnt aware signatures were to "convey" useful information. I thought it was a graphical representation, not a table of contents to the world wide web. I'll gladly make a new, smaller, more informative signature next time but I wasnt aware that a person could have 2 signatures and not be considered to be "too large" over a person who has 1 half the size of the 2 combined. But as I said in my second post, the guy has alot of work to do if he's considering what he has done now, good. Just my opinion guys :D

Well, thanks for the comments (good and bad). No offense taken to anything. I was just trying something new. That was my first sig, used MSpaint. Nothing really special to me. I'm not a computer graphic nerd, so yea to some it might suck. That's their opinion and it's what I asked for. But being a signature, doesn't mean it has to have your car in it, sure this is a car forum. But your signature is unique, so whatever anyone has for their sig basically is some sort of representation of themselves. So "OMGHI2U", if it makes you feel like a better person to bash someone's sig, that's purely up to you, but instead why not help make it better? Just a thought

If you take no offense then why make stereotypical comments? Thats something I just love (**sense the sarcasm**) about somebody being "ok" at something computer related. Does it make you a nerd to have a wee bit of talent/skill at art and able to express it digitally? I guess in this day and age it does.

So "OMGHI2U", if it makes you feel like a better person to bash someone's sig, that's purely up to you, but instead why not help make it better? Just a thought

So "T-Storm", Did you not read any of my suggestions? If you consider that bashing then don't make a thread titled "how's my sig?". I'd be willing to chat with ya about some ideas or techniques w/e but I'm not sorry for seeing anything great about what you've asked opinions on.

I know what i asked for, and it's what i got out of it. I wasn't trying to label anyone or suggest that anyone was a computer "geek." So sorry if that offended you. Yes at first you did bash, then yes you made some helpful comments. I'm not trying to make any enemies. I just looking to get into more the computer graphics. I am a culinary arts student, and i look at what i do as art also. I will admit your good at what you do. So if their is some sort of tension, sorry. I was looking for.... more of a helpful hand. Also I sometimes find it hard to recieve constructive critism. I did rush my sig, i just wanted to make one to have, to make myself feel proud about something. The next one I will do better?

Everyone's signatures suck, except mine.
