If I had one on my car I probably would have hyrdolocked on the way home. I had to drive through 3 over run creeks and 5 huge puddles in low spots. The Susquehanna is gonna over run it's banks soon. My work might be under a couple feet of water come Thursday. We shut down early tonight.
This rain is nuts.

You shouldnt drive in 8+ in of water, CAI or stock intake.

I'm gonna assume that he probably didn't have a choice unless he didn't want to get home or get to work.

Didn't really have much of choice. I could have stayed with one of my managers but I needed to get home so I could finish up some homework for tomorrow.

just get a bypass valve. They work wonders...or if you're worried, get a 4WD snorkel!

i have an SRI..
no choice but to go thru 1 ft of water... slow traffic behind.. and about 100 yrds of water ahead.. didn't notice at first because rain was too hard to see.. then we noticed under a bridge...
only people who made it out were me and a bunch of SUV's... DOZENS of cars pulled over to the side... i'm assuming stalled or died because everyone was on the cell phone...

I saw the video demonstrating how the bypass works wonders but was wondering if it was true in real life situations. I know that when a company wants to look good they can make it work. Can someone give a worst case real life scenario of how well the bypass valve would pull through?

I've said it before...I went through a DEEP puddle on the onramp to the Gardiner Expressway in Toronto...within 100ft of the top of the onramp it was like a car graveyard. My CAI must have been totally submerged looking back at the puddle but I came through without a sputter!!!
I was very glad to have it.
