Wife and I just signed papers on a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 CCSB. 4.8 and highway gears. :D Happy day, oh happy day. . .
Keeping the Elantra, selling my old truck and traded in the Suzuki Grand Vitara. Now we're back to only 2 vehicles again and we once again have a comfy cross-country hauler. Looking at 21-22mpg the way we drive, not bad for having the ability to seat 6 comfortably and haul 1500lbs of crap and tow 6000lbs. . . .Not bad at all.
Pics as soon as I get the truck! Delivery should be Weds afternoon.

Yeah. . . umm. . . .no. But thanks forthe offer. This isn't exactly "racing" material here. More like "Cruise 1900 miles in a day and a half feeling refreshed" kinda vehicle. And the Dodge "quad cabs" are like a GM Extended cab. This is more like a Suburban, but without the rear section. Rear seat legroom is better than a new Impala.

Colorados are just too small for our intents and purposes. Besides, for what you pay for a Colorado you could have had a full size with the same gas mileage and more power. The Colorado IMO is definately underpowered and don't even think about a 2.8L 4cyl.
Our CC is expected to get 21 highway, and a CC Colorado 2.8 was only 23. I can buy a PCM tune for $150 to get that extra 2mpg!
Heck, with 0% APR for 72 months, if you were even thinking about it you should jump on it.

Well, it's ours. . . OK, in reality it's the wifes. I'm not afraid to let people know who wears the pants. . . .:P
I have to say this truck is fast, quiet and smooth. Even though it's the "oversized and underpowered" version it will walk away from teh Elantra. Amazing. 5500lbs of steel can actually MOVE!
Here's a couple good pics from work:
