Ilan you are my hero. Please figure it all out then give it to me for $5.00!
Ok, but seriously, I'm very excited to see how this turns out.

I think we all need a round of applause for ilan. If you get the autolights and the HVAC working, we will all have to bow at your feet.

Doesn't matter about it being auto. The digital-ness of it is what I like (maybe I'm a ricer though...).

nothing wrong with being a ricer, we do drive asian cars. I feel it's only ricer if you drive like an escort, you're not asian, but you got like asian characters all over your car and like a dragon window sticker and made a weak attempt to tune the escort but all parts have come from walmart

I am working on that
Here is what is under the skin

And the buttons have no color behind them so changing the color will be easy, the only problem is the LCD itself, that is green and thats it, maybe a difuser can help

how much did you pick up the sonata HVAC for and it's not from the NF is it? That's an older style right?

For those looking: the high-end level of the Santa Fe has the same HVAC as the one seen here from the EF Sonata.

EF soanta XG and Kia optima are all the same

That is such a great project. I'm hoping it works out because you will make mucho dinero if all goes well. I will be buying one from you if more can be found at the cheap price this one went for. I agree with the "who cares about the auto" stuff, I want digital. When you spend a bunch of money for a screen in the dash and whatnot, you need the higher end controls to go with the whole feel.

Looks great so far. Where did you pick that up from and how much was it?

I wish someone could get the Korean OEM digital unit to work.

He got it from e-bay for 10 dollars. It's about 10 post down. Someone else posted that they couldn't find one that was cheap right after Ilan posted his great find.

I think the one from Kia looks better. I might have to pick up one for myself and play around with it. Do our plugs fit right into it?

but is there gonna be a way to create a wire harness to fit the hvac with our wire harness?
ilanpro

Another thing will be to make it fit, the auto unit is narrower that the Xd one

Wow so much effort on a thing we get as standard in my country. Sorry didn't mean to put down your effort in any way.
Here is a website picture of the hvac control in my car, its supposed to be the same as the old sonata, not the embera version. Will try to get a close up shot of the unit as well......

the actual wire harness will be the easy part.....stereo wiring is the simplest thing.
