I'm probably going to piss some people off with this one but it needs to be said. Just check out the links I put below to my threads and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I've noticed it getting worse and worse the marketplace rules (here's the link to the rules I hope your not thinking "what there are rules for the marketplace?": http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10952) are not being followed at all and it is doing exactly what the rules warn about, it is clogging up the marketplace.
I have maybe 6 or so FS threads in the marketplace (the most useless posts are in this thread: http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14713 and this thread:http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15395) and nearly all of them have post like the following that were in the threads I started:
"my boy has that same double blade baton style knife for $20 but the lock got stuck so he had to force it open"
and
"sounds nice"
and
"eh...im still sober, so i might be a bit testy now...lol...mmm...sam adams..."
and
"sorry bro, saving for the engagment ring"
and
"I'm going to use the drill for work. If I could justify using a dvd player and monitor, I would definately buy..."
and
"Damn, if I only had some spare money I'd be all over these."
and
"It doesn't need that coating. I make these grilles as well... and I use an industrial strength maximum rust resistant primer and paint combination. They resist chipping, fading, some scratching, water, and the emblem can be adhered directly to it, no problem."
:nono: and it goes on and on...

(I don't mind so much when someone posts in my thread something that shows they like an item but don't have the funds to buy it because that's positive but I get a lot off useless posts and even posts saying negative things about some items)
I'm not sure what can be done to fix the problem because it's not just newbies that haven't read the rules yet. I'm thinking maybe go through the threads and delete the useless posts and then send that poster a PM with a link to the marketplace rules suggesting he/she read the rules. :znaika:

The rules I'm refering to are below:
At the top in red:
"The only people who should post in this forum are the sellers of the items or potential buyers"
and rule #7:
"Do not post comments like "I can get this cheaper at XXX" or "I wish I had the money" as those posts will be removed"
and rule #4:
"To prevent clogging up the marketplace forum, do not post in any thread unless you are asking a general-interest question about the specific item for sale or are offering to buy the item for the asking price."

damn. i wish i had the money, but im saving for an engagement ring

lol...just kidding. i know what you mean. it is starting to get a little loose. i remember when they started i usually got a PM daily caus i said something, and usually it was for **** that shouldnt have gotten me a PM (like telling someone about a certain product for sale, trying to help out the seller...since i wasnt the seller, i was 'against the rules')

Bump
I've sold almost all of the drills in the "18V Drills cheap cheap cheap" thread and I'm getting a lot of PM's and positive comments in my "FS: Custom Grills!" thread.
Soooooo why not in this thread? These in my opinion are some of the better deals at over 50% off and they are still new in box or unused in box or barely used.

You wrote this, and I answered the question with "I'm going to use the drill for work. If I could justify using a dvd player and monitor, I would definately buy...". If you ask why there's no interest in your thread that no one's responding to, then expect a response.

Yeah that was more of a rhetorical question really I wouldn't expect nor would I want all 4,133 members to let me know why they are not buying those items.

I wish everyone would put prices on the fs stuff. I like to check out all and see how much money the want for the items.

I'm going to address this later this week.

I appreciate the concerns.
