A mini tripod like this will fit in one of the leg holes for your passenger seat headrest. That is what I use when I autox. 2loud figured this out and I copied him. ;)

The Stickypod seems like a really nice product. I actually emailed my friend about it and told him I wanted one (also need a camera, ha).
klx, do you have any cool driving shots?

Dave, that looks like it works incredibly well. And the mount is a lot smaller than the previous picture indicates. Good stuff.

you actually have to cut/trim some of the black plastic base off of one of the legs on the mount (the one you slide in the head rest mounting hole). if not, it will not fit inside the head rest hole. once its inside the head rest hole, it fits snug enough that it WILL not easily pull out (tech inspection ok'd it), but it will pull out when you need to remove it. its like its a perfect fit once inside. the cheapest and by far one of the best mounts to get some racing video.
now i need to find a way to attatch it to my bike when i hit the twisties (curves) and get some video. :D
james, did you want me write up a diy? it was so simple i didnt think about writing one up here for you guys.

I use the CruiseCam (http://cinemasupplies.stores.yahoo.net/cruisecam.html)
I purchased mine for a short film I have been working on. The video took with it is rock steady and is safe for racing. A friend is currently borrowing it to record his BMW Z4 at the track. I look forward to seeing those shots.
