I don't know how valid these pictures are but I saw them a couple days ago on a Korean site and now they have surfaced on another car site, so they may be accurate.
The only real exterior differences seem to be the grill and the front under the headlight trim. They do have the silver/gray interior headlights which is different but they have been available from kSpec for a while, so I don't know if they are brand new. Interior looks like more wood trim and some different gauge lighting. Although that might stay in Korea like the blue lighting they have now.

it just came out why are doing a facelift??? hyundai has always been weird like that...unlike the others that put out a model every 4 or 5 years...

If they put out brand new cars that often, they would cost more...

I really wish that NAV system would come to the U.S. I thought they would have waited until 2009 for the facelift, but I guess 2008 isn't too soon (3rd MY), considering how minor these changes are.

I heard the 2008 will have more audio controls on the steering wheel as well. The only complaint I have about mine is the limited controls on the steering wheel.
those look more like KDM only options, then a facelift - like the chrome headlights and chrome grills for the XD

Other companies like Honda, Toyota, etc are always doing minor facelifts every 2 years or so. Subtle things.

Yeah, I'm not entirely convinced either. We'll see I guess.

I agree. That's my number one complaint. I wanted XM radio too. I decided to just replace the head unit. (Went with an Alpine CDA-9857) and it was the right move. Lost the wheel controls but they were pointless anyway since you couldn't change channels.
As for the updates, they are all minor stuff. The only other change I would have made from Hyundais standpoint is blue gauges. It doesn't make sense why other new models such as the Entourage, Elantra, Santa Fe, etc have blue but they gave the Sonata green. Uniformity among models would have made sense. Oh well. That's the only other change I'd like to see on 2008's. I'll be driving mine for at least another 4 1/2 years till it is paid off, maybe longer if it is still holding together well.

The Korean site now has the update. I think it might be the official refresh. It seems to indicate that there will be more audio controls on the wheel, but it's hard to tell.

Yeah, sure is. But, let's keep it in this thread:

And keep this about the Sonata. Cool.
