Nasty. . . . and I agree, no close in engine shots when there is so much listed for the engine. Sounds fishier than fishermans whorf.

the tires are too thin (narrow) for the rims, so they look like they are caved in on the sides.. lol

Maybe he just did that so it can clear the fenders ...

Gawdy either way. lol

Agreed, too much wheel, not enough tire.

This is something that VW enthusiasts have been doing for years, its called stretching. Dont know why they do it, someone once told me but I honestly hav never really liked it either.

The trouble is that it will do very little to protect the rims. When you hit a pothole the tire will fold under the rim and the rim's edge will take a huge hit.

At least if the tires were wider, they might compress and fold around the edge of the wheel to protect it upon impact.

i still think that tib is bad ***...IIRC, he is getting it s/c soon. its still a toss up between that tib and fixer...i guess i have a thing for black/red tibs. even though the wing is a bit ricey, i love the car

i like the mirrors...that kit is just nasty though...if it were a zefiro of something..then yeah it would be nice!

why does he have screens in the doors?? thats stupid

evan938

that kit = sex on wheels. i love it

and for the screens in doors, i guess my counter would be 'why do you need ANY screens in a car?'. let me go back to my dads and get pics from HIN where i saw a h2 with something like 52 screens in it.

There's no need for the ironing board wing though. It's not like his car is making 1000 hp.

It's funny reading a thread about my car in a completely different forum, lol. To respond to a few things on here:

No close engine shots because the car is on a boat going back to Atlanta from Germany, where I have been stationed for 3 years. The SDS and all engine components are going to be installed when I get into town. they are all purchased as noted on my cardomain page (my homepage here)

The tires- the reason I have such low pro tires is due to the kit I have. In order for me to properly flush the wheels (back wheels will be flushed as soon as I get back to Atlanta), the tires have to be this size. I bought them with a protective lip so the rims would be protected somewhat.

The TV's. I have tv's in the doors for one reason-more points at shows, I am building this car primarily as a show car, but it is also my daily driver. The custom fiberglassed dash I am soon to have in,will have a flush mounted touchscreen, that will operate my navigation and carputer that will be installed.

The mention of the Torque Converter- this was a mishap on my part when doing some copy-and-paste. I am purchasing quite a few things through NGM to build my block, so I can safely push upwards of 500whp. In doing the build, the company also potentially wants to build a local automatic, thus why the torque converter was in the list. I just grabbed more than I though when I was doing the copy and paste from my email.

And finally the wing. As with all wings, some like it, some don't. The thing is, I tried weighing a couple options with the car the just didn't look right with the kit I have. the stock one just looks too plain and small. I wanted a spoiler that looked as "beefy" as the car. that is why I bought this one. I personally think it suits the kit well.

Anyways, I just wanted to clarify things with you guys, so you could have a little more background on the info.

Now criticize away!!!

I am stationed in Germany, but fly back on leave to Atlanta August 7th. Then I go to Qatar and the car goes to the tuning shop in SC. It is listed in IL because someone is lame and thinks they can sell a ghost of a car.
