AC Stopped working.

Well, at 58,000 miles my ac compressor decided to take a **** on me... and what a day for it to do that too. 104 degrees. Well I called the dealer and they said if its just the clutch they will replace it under warranty, but if its the compressor its self i would have to get a new one... Well im just a little pissed off, but oh well.

Did the compressor seize up, or just won't engage? Are you sure it's the compressor and not just a pressure-switch, wiring, HVAC unit or something? Press. switch won't allow compressor to engage if the R134a is too low.

and on top of that, if your cooling fan doesnt kick on, then the pressure gets too high, then the compressor doesnt kick-in.

It could also be a simple leak. I had an o-ring go out about 10-15k miles ago. It was replaced under warranty.
