Although highly unlikely for an elantra I was just looking for my options here. After watching the Fast and the Furious I was wondering if it were even remotely possible to cut open the seat like in the movie where Vin Diesel had the NOS. Fully beleiving that it isn't possible i've already moved foward to the next option. I am going to be installing a carputer under the passenger side seat in the upcoming weaks. I routed all the cables under the seat and up until that point everything was fine. When I actually looked under the seat I noticed a lot of wiring and hoses. That's not even a big deal but the problem that has occured is that I noticed 2 vents coming out from the floor directly under the front of the seat. This cramps the allowed space where I can put the pc (micro atx, not standard) and I was wondering what these vents actually are. If they are nothing important I have no problem ripping them out and closing them off. The only thing that I can think of is the air circulation for the car where it recycles the air or something similar. If anyone has any information that would be greatly aprreciated. The only restriction that I have is it basically has to be in reaching distance and not in the back seat or trunk due to the fact that I am not building/buying a power-on controller. Preferrably I want it to be under the passenger seat so all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
-Chris

I believe those are where the a/c comes out for the rear passengers' feet.

not a/c specific but regular vent ... when you put the vent air to the feet position the rear passengers receive air too, you have a similar vent under the driver seat too. So it's not an important part of the ventilation and can be ripped off ...
