how about putting some thought into a thread title rather than just saying, "Help Needed" or "For Sale"... like, what do you need help with..? or what is for sale..? Why do you expect someone should have to open a thread to find out what it is about and whether it is something we are interested in or can help with... if your intention is to grab my interest forget it because if you can't be bothered to put some thought into your post then I don't bother looking.

You do relize that if you hold your mouse over the title for 2 seconds it will give you a little bubble window with the first few lines of the body of text?

I use this alot to determine weither I open something or not. I know it's not the same as simply reading a title, but you find out more information that way without opening it.

Has this forum gotten so slow that the only thing people do now is bish and moan about how people ask questions?

Well, I do agree that it is helpful. Do what JacksonJ suggested, it helps.

I do something similar, except I keep the Forum Home page on the first tab, the section page on the next, and then I open individual threads in the third tab. Then close and open all the threads in that section in one tab, and when that's done close the section in the second tab and do it again with the next section. I did that even before I had Firefox with multiple windows in IE. I've always liked that better than BACK, CLICK, BACK, FOWARD, BACK, CLICK, etc.
