What is the best type of paint to use on dash trim?

If you check out this thread :http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13663 people all mention what type of paint they used. I prefer laquer-based spray-paints and clear-coats. Krylon Fusion or other plastic paints will resist scratching much better than most other paints though. Unfortunately color selection and finish type is limited in the Fusion applications.

What about using wrap kits?
They don't get scratched at all.
I've never used one, but want to look into it, because I have a buddy that did all the painting inside on his trim and dash and within 1 year its all hammered up.

Do you have any links? I can't imagine that this kind of thing would be good to longevity.
