What are the requirements if you want to participate on the course and what sort of fees are involved?

Entry if you Pre-Reg if $50 and we need at least 37 pre-regs by Wednesday night otherwise my roomate takes a big hit in cost. 37 is basically the break even point for him. $55 if you don't pre-reg. Pre-reg is not a prepay, it's strictly letting us know who's saying they'll be there.
You need a S or M95 or later rated helmet, a non-leaking car, good brakes, functioning seatbelts...common sense stuff from there. Everything that can shift in the car and bounce around has to be removed...no stereo equipment and anything loose in the car obviously has to be taken out if can't be secured.
More details can be had at swrallyx.com and the supplemental regulations HERE (http://www.swrallyx.com/glenhelen/suppregs.php)

You can run in street stock provided you meet the guidelines for it. If you have steelies in the garage you'll be ok. It's not like you'd be running with the EVOs and STIs.
But, you could come out to spectate if we get the minimum pre-reg's.

this sounds like a lot of fun, but as much as I'd like to participate, right now my GT wheels are back at my aunt's place and I don't have the money to trash my current set of wheels and tires. If I had an old beater, I would be all over this but the XD is all my wife and I have as far as daily transportation.
BTW, did you end up going to HIN? My wife and I had a baby shower to help host, so I couldn't make it. You should post up some pics if you went.

No I didn't go. Just moved the weekend before it and wanted to settle in. Might go to the one in the fall.
I understand the daily driver thing. However, rally cross is easier on the car and tires than autoX or any other form of racing. It's a common misconception but as I said above...I understand. =)

are you going to put on your stockers or use the setup you currently have in your pic?

I don't race because I volunteer to help my roomate run it since he hosts the Glen Helen stop in the points series. Besides, I'm WAY too competitive of a person to use my daily driver month after month after month. That's not to say people haven't raced entire seasons in rentals with the added isnurance either...but I didn't say that. =)
I'm simply too busy working starting and staging to actually participate. =( Maybe once I get my tibby in a few years I'll turn the Elantra in to a RallyX car. Who knows.
