The F-15 has always been my favorite warbird. I used to be HUGE into planes when I was younger. My eyes (color-blind) kept me from joining the Air Force.

I actually saw that episode on TV a little while ago. History Channel rules!

That happened back in the '80's I believe, the engineers figured out what he did to keep it flying & then wrote new software to F-15's and all other new planes so if they get in a situation like that the plane can reconfigure itself to keep flying.
