I'm wanting to install a new multifunction switch on my steering column but i checked the hma site for how to removed the steering wheel/airbag and the pictures where not working. I also did a search and checked numberous posts but they had deadlinks. x_x

Anyone want to tell me how to get the steering wheel and airbag out? I'm scared the airbag will deploy if i do something wrong....does unplugging my negative terminal drain all the charge from the airbag so i can not worry about it deploying? ?_?

there are 2 covers on the side of the wheel, pop them off, you will need a star bit, unscrew those, they will NOT come out, just loose, then once both are loose, pull the air bag out, and disconnect the 2 connectors

FIRST disconnect the negative battery cable. No need to have the airbag going off in your face...

Let us know how it goes, I'm planning on installing a new steering wheel (without an airbag) as well. :)
