I am trying to install my RAZO shifter knob. I am not sure whether to use the 10m or 8m universal plastic sleeve for the knob. Anyone able to help me out?!

try putting the 8mm sleeve over the stock shifter. Does it fit? If it does then use it, if it doesn't then go with the bigger one.

The 8m sits on it just a bit.. the 10m goes all the way over. I screwed it on but it seems like it has hit a point and only screws on so much.. it can move a bit if enough pressure is applied. The 8m would have had to be put on with some strength to get it to fit over and screw on. Any ideas? Stay with the 10m?
The 8m (maybe I'm screwing up the sizes here, regardless, 2 of them are questionable and the last one won't even fit), only fits a quarter over the naked shift knob while the other fits over it almost completely and screws in a bit. The 8m would require a lot of screwing on but I'm worried the plastic might crack if it's too tight. What to do?...
EDIT: :abovelol: I measured the old knob and it came out to 12mm. I used the 12m piece. I kinda panicked because I read a post by one guy saying his fell off during driving and I didn't want that cr*p happening while I drove. It just doesn't feel like it's on as sturdy as the stock one. Anyone have any suggestions or can tell me about their experiences with after market shift knobs?

you want the sleeve that you put on to be tight. trust me, even if you need to force it a bit, it will be worth it in the long run. there is less chance of the knob getting stripped later.

Yeah I was thinking that. If this one comes off I have kept the old knob in my car just in case. I have the 10mm sleeve saved if I have to put that one on.
Is there anyone who's used a universal knob and if so, what sized sleeve did you use?
Thanks.
