The only people other than me who should post here are OP about directions and Vsolo about the Hotel information.

Ok this is going to be a thread of just info. I will give our agenda of the weekend. OP will give detailed directions to the park and any other event that we plan to do and Vsolo will give all info to the hotel. Any other posts will be removed. If you have a question about something PM one of us or if it's during the weekend of the meet than call either OP or me.

It would be a good idea to print this thread before you leave to meet us that weekend.

Robert DuBois 1 (845) 594-1066 ( I will post OP's number when I get it.)

FRIDAY AUGUST 13TH

12:30-1:00 This is when my friend and I are planing on meeting up with OP, taking a ride to the park, finding our hotel and checking in. We will be leaving our room number in the front for anyone who wants to meet up with us.

2:00-3:00 This would be a good time for anyone who is going to the hotel to arrive, get checked in and find there way to our hotel room. Probably have a drink in the room and get to know each other alittle bit.

3:15-4:00 This will be the time that we are going to go the the bar in the hotel. It will also be the time for anyone who is not staying at the hotel but is going to the track that night to meet up with us. I'm hoping that we have at least 8-10 people to go to the track that night. I figure about 4-5 will just watch and the other half will race.

4:15-??? We leave for the hotel around 4:10-4:15 to get there in time. I don't know how long track time is but it's a couple hours at the track near me so I would figure on about the same. Anyone who is not driving to or from the track is welcome to drink at it.

???- ??? When you get back to the hotel from the track we will probably end up going to a local bar for some drinks. Some place that is under 21 friendly for the people who aren't 21 yet. I don't believe OP is 21 yet so I'm sure he should know a couple places we can go. After that it's back to the hotel for maybe a nightcap.

SATURDAY AUGUST 14TH

9:30-10:30 This is the time I plan to wake up and get some Breakfast.

10:45-11:45 Take a swim in the pool.

1:00-4:00/6:00 This will be the main meet time. OP will give directions to the park and where the best place for us to park is. OP and I will also buy the supplies for the BBQ. We are hoping that people will throw in a few bucks each because the food is going to cost quite a bit. Nothing much like 2-3 bucks a person would be managable. We'll cover the rest. If we get the number of people we are hoping for 30-40 then this will last quite a while. I figure probably at least a couple hours.

6:00/7:00- 8:30/9:00 After the BBQ we will probably be back to a group of 10-20 people. This will be a good time to hangout in the hotel rooms. Maybe take a swim or have a few drinks. Kinda do with this time what you want. Alittle break for everyone.

8:30/9:00- ??? We will decide on a place for dinner. It could be early than this time but we'll have to see. After dinner people can decide if they want to go back to the hotel or if they want to go out someplace. That to will be decided then.

SUNDAY AUGUST 15TH

9:00-11:00 Whenever you wake up. get something to eat, pack, relax, maybe swim.

11:15-??? Everyone plan to checkout at this time. I'm staying Sunday night to so I won't be checking out but everyone else will. We all get together and head off to Six flags. I believe OP said he was going to go to that but I'm not sure. If not we will have directions. From six flags you can leave whenever you want to. If anyone else if going to be in the Baltimore area on Sunday night then they can let me and my friend know. We could go out and get something to eat that night but that will be decided then if anyone is going to be there.

OK that is my part of it. Like I said if you have any questions PM me or OP. He will give his directions when he get a chance (don't rush him) and so will Vsolo on the hotel. I hope everyone has fun. I know I sure plan to.

One thing about the awards that we were going to give out for best car and all that. I am short on money and don't have the time to go look at plagues. So I will probably get smaller prizes when we pick up the food that morning.

When you think about it, how great is it that for less than 10 bucks a piece you are going to meet everyone you have been talking to for over a year, get a t-shirt to represent Hyundai, a BBQ and a chance to win a prize for having a pimp ride. I'm alittle suprised that we don't have more people coming.

As for local activities (besides what we have planned) , you can walk (about 50 steps ) to a bowling alley & there is a Target store there too as well a restaurant (Olive Branch) at the hotel. we are just up the street from Pikesville with had some neat little stores altho there was a bit of traffic on the road (Rte 140)

Some of you may know this already. When I stopped by to ask about rooms, the guy there told me it was 84.95 a night (plus tax). I told him about the 59.95 a night deal on the web, he said they have not control over that & it would be the way to go. I was trying to get a group rate but I could not get 10 people to commit 2 months ago. HEY I COMPLETELY understand.

Well that was a few months ago & if you go on the web now it is 72.00 a night. This is still a good deal the other hotel which is not as nice as this was about tha price too. you know you snooze you lose.
You can cancel a reservation up to 48 hours before you show up, if you are not sure. XTRAWLD had to do this already & I don't think she had any problems.

I had to do it with the other hotel and I had no problems so if you think you want to come than reserve it now and cancel if you have to. Better safe than sorry or paying 110 bucks a room last minute.

We all should meet at the hotel and then all go to the park as a group, but just in case someone doesn't make it on time please follow these directions, and if you get lost call my cell phone at 443-904-2813

Get on the beltway 695 towards Glen Burnie if you are coming from NY area, and towards Towson if you are coming from South.
Take exit 18 on 695 towards Randolstown and drive approx 4.5 mi then on your left you will see Exxon gas station and right after that there will be a street named Marriottsville. Make a left on that street, it's right after the gas staion.
Keep going down the street for about 4mi, just stay on the main road and dont go to any other streets, it might look a little confusing, but remember not to make any turns, just go straight. After passing some woods, there will be some kind of factory on both sides, keep going straight for approx 0.4 mi and then you will have to make a left turn when you see a big *** sign that says McKelding Area, Valley State Potapsko Park, or something like that.... get in there pay $2 per person to get in, and then just keep driving straight, until you rich kind of dead end with big parking lot. Park you car over there and walk down the hill and you will see us :)

For friday, you can just go to www.CapitolRaceway.com and get directions and all the details, it's $10 to watch $20 to race, gates open at 5:30.

I am going to six flags, so no directions needed, and basically for the people that are staying with me are will not have to worry about directions because I will be able to drive ya everyone and if something happens and you get lost here is my cell phone again 1-443-904-2813.

Feel free to call me any time.

Rob, could you do me a favor and PM everyone who's on the list to go to the meet and ask them if they are coming for sure, so we know how many people expect? Can you also include link to this thread so everyone can read it? Could you also ask them to send me couple of bucks to odessitpashka@comcast.net .

Thanks a lot

OP (Pashka)

And if you want to talk to me feel free to call me after 9pm-1am any day. 1-443-904-2813.

For people that might come late to the hotel and not find us there, the hotel is located on exit 20 of 695. If you want to go to the park w/out us just get on 695 towards Glen Burnie and get off exit 18 and then just follow my directions.
