Ok, I have done some searching and havent found anything so I'm making a new thread. I wanted to know where everyone is putting their switches and what they go to, a picture would be good too. I am curious as to where everyone is hiding, or not hiding their switches, perhaps others might find it interesting also? If not then too bad, haha.

What switches? If your talking about extra lighting switches, my 02 gt has 3 extra spots for switches to the left of the steering wheel next to the dimmer for the dash. my ground effects switch is goin there!

yea so thats where they go then.
when i had glow pedals i just didnt feel like extending the wires so i put the switch inside the ashtray. some people put the bass boost control for the amp in the coin tray next to the steering wheel. otherwise switches next to the dash dimmer

Ah, I was curious if someone had gotten more creative to the location.
This if offtopic to my own thread, but I saw a picture somewhere that someone had put their ipod charger/stand in the ashtray, I'm curious if that would work with a Creative Zen: Vision M

depends on the size of the charger, i have the Tosheba Gigabeat and it doesnt fit. i just put mine in the cupholder ashtray thingy with no charger.

I mounted fog light switches in the little area next to the panel light dimmer. My plan was to cut a hole in the switch blank, but I ended up getting a piece of plastic, cutting it to size, and replacing the switch blank. I found room for two small toggle switches. I put masks behind the switch covers for the icons (these switches were for front and rear fog lights).

If you want to get enterprising, you can take your console off and install your switches in the console just forward of the shifter. I did that with one, and it worked good, until a slight F***up wrecked the item it controlled.
they look relatively good and are in easy reach this way.
first switch install:
location: under the front dash far right. If you reach your hand under the front dash under the steering wheel you can tell that the dash has a flat lip, my switch for my neons is as far right you can get right on the flat lip. its a standard silver cylindrical switch, one of the cheapy more common ones.. it looks ok when you get down and look at it, no wires visible as the lip hides everything, i like it alot, and yo ucant see it at all unless you know where to look and there is no one in the drivers seat.

i put my amp switch coming out of the flat section on my ashtray, seeing as I don't smoke. not visible to the naked eye, unless you get down and look at it from underneath.
as for the other switches, i have three to the left of the steering wheel, next to the dimmer swtich. switch on the left turns on my radar detector, middle turns the interior neons, and the one on the right turns on the underbody neons.

Added oem fogs and got an Aussie rear fog switch that went into the left side of the dash. Looks 100% OEM, but ain't even close!

^^^^^^^ Im gonna have a similar set up monkey. Im gonna have 3 switches by the dimmer. One for the Underglow kit, one for interior neons, and one for a neon in the grille. hopefully by the end of the week.
