Hi everyone, I'm from Québec, and it's been one year I've bought my Elantra 95. It's the base model, with the 1.6l engine. I already know what I'll be doing with the engine and transmission (I'd like to change it for an eagle talon 92 turbo compressed engine and add a pflow) but I'd like to have some idea about the exterior and interior painting-decoration. I already have some nice seat cover with laser-blue flames and I'd like to repaint my car like the mazda protege blue (Mazda 24A). So, I'd like to see if there's some replacement bumber and lights too.

If you have some suggestion, I'd like to know thx :D

Nice car you've got dangahboi, wish mine will look as good in one year :D are the seat original ones? And I'd like to know where you took your bodykit, the wing and the clear lights on the rear... you really did a great job!

Unless you have a sack full of gold, i'd forget the talon engine and tranny. Its not easy as it seems. You need mounting brackets, proper clearance, and not to mention it comes from a different manufacture (Chrysler/Mitsubishi).

Well, he might have a sack full of gold. Or he might have the skills to do it. No need to crush his hopes and aspirations entirely, lol.

Its actually not as expensive as you may think since the old elantra use a mitsu engine to begin with.

Well, old Sonata used to have mitsubishi motors if I remember well. Also three of my friends already told me that eagle talon engine fits perferctly inside 92-95 elantra. There's even one who have the exact same car as mine (except that she have an automatic transmission) that changed her motor for an old mitsubishi eclipse one, but it's not the turbocompressed version. So I dont believe it's so hard to do.

For the sack full of gold, well, I've talked with a mechanician and he said he could have the uncompressed version of the engine and transmission for $800 canadian box, so the turbo one shouldn't that costy. Ok, the engine would neer 150000 km but who cares, that's an mitsubishi engine, it can go to the double and even higher. And if I can't find one without a really high kilometer, I'll make it remanifacture. I'll cost me another CDN$1000 but the engine will be good for another 300000km.

And for the skills, I'm willing myself to learn mechanics and my brother in laws is a mechanician, so it won't be that much of trouble.

Yeah, the 4g63T swap isn't something too expensive. I'm sure dangahboi could help out as well.

I'll surely ask him a lot of questions :D

But the first thing I wanna know is, where to get car book for an Elantra 95... I've searched on the net and all I've find is for 88-93 ones... some books where for Sedan, but I'm not exactly sure .
