Hi ive got the above muffler. Anyone has any info on it?? I got this for another car but im thinking of putting it on my elantra without any other changes to the exhaust system (just this muffler in place of the stock one)
Some questions
1. I hope this will not be too loud since its a straight through design
2. Will it give some growl at higher rpm's

nice looking pipe. I would assume it would be louder, but not that loud. i have a big 'ol fartcan like that, all i did was cut off stock muffler and slam that on. nice growl, not too loud.

Was the growl there consistently or only on higher rev's??
Dont want an irritating constant sound.........its my first exhaust mod so im quite ignorant!!

no, the growl is very light until around 3500 or so.
well, on mine at least. but i have a cheap pipe, about the same size though.
shouldn't make too much of a difference.
It will only get REAL loud if you take the whole exhaust out and do it straight all the way through. just adding that to the end won't be annoying loud, just a nice soft grumble.

You've gotta understand,
You have a pair of cat converter's that are very restrictive, then you have a stock resonator that is fairly restrictive. that means you kill most of the sound before it even gets to the mufflers. Those annoying fart bee can's you see driving around on civic's and such are guy with headers no cat's and a catback.
you should be fine as long as your just looking for a little bit of sound.

As you know im not from the states and this one has to be imported into my country......it is around 185$ without fitting and pipes etc.
Well to answer some other issues i just revved the car without the stock muffler and the sound was pretty deep and loud so putting this muffler should have some sound especially above the 4000rpm band....or at least i can hope.
