I knew something wasn’t right with my breaks when I bought the car. Well I took my car in early for like the 25k mile service and was told my rotors are a little warped and would need to be changed soon. Well I would have gotten them done right away but I had to go back home and I would bring it back Monday to get it done. Well I pull out of the parking lot and hit the brakes and I here a crack and my car like slide/plows left. My rotor cracked damn near in half and the pad got stuck and locked the wheel up. So I had to get a new driver rim caliper rotor and pad passenger pad and rotor. My pads where more then 75% still there, but I changed one I had to change the other. The would not warranty the work cause the rotor was warped and I was told I would have to have it fixed. So after a $700+ bill my car finally runs correctly. The brakes are also 100% better then before the car doesn’t nose dive every time I touch the breaks. I would just like to thank Hyundai for almost getting me killed if I had to use them coming down the mountains at my Dad’s house.
On a positive note the money from my new job is starting to pile up 9-10 more months and I’m going to get a 2005-2006  CLK55 AMG coupe “http://www.mbusa.com/brand/models/CLK55C.jsp”. I decided that I’m going to keep the Elantra as a daily beater but if I have anymore problems with the brake system in anyway other then needing it’s regular maintenance. I’m going to ditch it and get one of the older Civics as a daily beater.
PS: I didn’t get pics of it because the batteries for my digital camera were dead. But 1 of the spokes on the rim was pushed out almost a half inch and was cracked half way across the length of the spoke.
edit: fixed spelling mistakes
