Ugh! I'm finally done. I figured today was a good day to start getting my 2002 GT ready for winter. I started off by claying every inch of my car. After that, I went over the whole thing with Maguire's ScratchX, since all of the paint was in pretty rough shape. Now THAT was a pain to do. After that, I applied a coat of Klasse AIO, and finished off with a coat of NXT paste wax. I started at 11am...and just finished (about 6:45pm). I did take quite a few breaks, but man that was a lot of work. I MIGHT add another coat of NXT after work tomorrow depending on how I feel.

The end result is definately worth it. I've only owned the car for about 5 months, and now it looks better than the day I got it.

Am I assuming correctly that you did all the work by hand and that's why it took you nearly 8 hours? Go get yourself a buffer and the job will be SO much easier. You'll get even better results, too.

I love that "just detailed" look of my car when I'm finished polishing and waxing it.
