ok, after tons of issues for quite awhile, my car is finally getting better again.
about a month ago, i posted pics of my windshield that got busted out. well yesterday i finally had the cash to fix it. im very happy about that.
my stock GT alloys were kinda damaged, well two of them to be exact. for those that dont know, there made very cheaply, and cant handle curbs. lol. the lips break off. so the last two winters ive suffered with my 17's in the snow and ice that never leaves in the winters here....
now i got ahold of a set of 15x7 american racing rims. kinda ugly, but my bolt pattern. im painting one as we speak. gonna be black, with a polished lip. hopefully they wont be as fugly, but really doesnt matter being that there winter rims.
another thing i finally got figured out is my MAJOR o2 sensor problem.
ive had A CEL for over 2 years that has came up my primary, and secondary o2 sensors. now i am running a old 1.8 tubular OEM manifold that doesnt include the cat like our newer 2.0's do. so the secondary is obviouse, but i installed a o2 simulator, that never helped, or as i thought.
now ive changed both o2 sensors more then once trying to get rid of this CEL, my car even has been running limp mode and dumping even more fuel the usual, and averaging around 13-14 mpg for the past few years. well after changing the o2's so many times, and going over the wiring which was also fine, i had a feeling maybe my ecu itself was just retarded. so i bought a rev A 1.8 ecu from a yard for 25 bux. i know these ecu's are a ****tier tune then the non rev A ecu's, and would hurt performance on my 2.0 but figured it would at least tell me if my ecu was f*cked or not.
well guess what, im at about 2 months now with the 1.8 ecu installed. so far, no CEL, so i know my ecu was at fault this whole time. now i just need to find the newer 1.8 ecu, and get it running right.
nothing really big, just figured id post an update of things with the car.
