so today, keyan came out to get my headers, take my cat-back back to NJ for another member, and i pulled my UDP and put the stocker back on. going from I/H/E/P to just an intake is such an insane difference. i felt like i was going to have a hard time keeping up w/ my girlfriends kia rio

but....we jacked my car up to get the header out and see a pool of oil...now last couple days i thought i had been smelling tranny fluid, but it was very faint, and each time, i saw something that made me think it wasnt my car...like a car 4 cars up smoking like a chimney. so we see this pool of oil, check out the tranny...its leaking. made about a 5" pool in about an hour. being that im only going to have this car another week or so, i said f- it. i went, picked up some more gear oil, filled it up. used 1 quart, it took almost the whole thing...drained some out. didnt leak any in the garage in 2 hours, and i checked after i came back to my appt, nothing in the lot...cool

my car is almost harder to drive now. i was so used to listening to the exhaust and knowing when to let off the clutch...now i actually have to watch the RPMs...we were at a light and i thought my car wasnt running it's so quitet

and i also sold my nippons to nick (projectx515) and i currently have his steelies on for a week or so. car is coming to its final week

Your car is quiet and my car sounds more honda than a honda LOL

And it probably stopped dripping because we bought GL-5 instead of gl-4 and it probably plugged up the hole LOL...

It's interesting to hear about when people remove all the mods how the cars feels. Most times we just hear "I added this, this and this and now it feels like this." Interesting. Still, it must be a little sad.

What are you going to get evan? I am sad to see the XD going away. I remember when I took the muffler off of my car (I thought I was going to sell it too), and you're right, it is one heck of a change.

DUDE i know exactly what you mean. after i sold my headers/exhaust to nick the following weekend the UDP came off and i was just down to intake and clutch/FW. it was a big difference but didn't bother me at all becasue i don't need to go fast or anything.

just wait utnil your springs/struts/swaybar come off. i know i'm not looking forward to that point! thats truly goign to depress me.

Damn...I'm scared of whats going to happen somewhere way down the line when my mods go away...

but, on the bright side, you two should remember both of you have made XD history in a way...fastest N/A amd forst to hit 140whp on the dyno N/A...

This is what I would call recycling in the purest sense of the word. Parts off one vehicle, to be installed onto another. Hmmmmm.....Anyone disagree ?!?!?!

My wifes uncle went to florida for a month so we have been house sitting. He owns a wrx (not the sti),he told me to use it ONCE in a while if I wanted to. He left friday night and the first thing I did was take his car out, all I can say is HOLY ****!! I left my car there and been using his wrx instead! Today I drove my car to work and I can't belive how ****ing SLOW my elantra is, there really is no hope for my elantra I have to get rid of this slow *** car!
