Just finished washing then applying a Meguiars NXT Generation Spray Wax. This was one of the easiest waxes I've ever used. I usually apply a coat of Meg's Gold Class. The NXT spray wax probably won't last as long, but it gives great results.

i've used nxt cream and it lasted a long time. let me know how long the spray lasts (I may use it for maintenance). Since true waxing takes too much to do on a regular basis.
And just because we have palm trees doesn't mean we don't get rain and hurricanes (my car has been parked outside and has taken a beating from the rain.

Yeah, waxing using a paste takes a long time. This only took a fraction of that time. Was so easy, I might do it every or every other wash.

a lot of the meguires products (And a lot of other car care products) contain silicone to give them the shine and effect... not good if you need to respray a surface....
silicone is a smash repairers / spray painters worse nightmare...
always try to get products with no silicone... the shine lasts longer and the finish is better.
PS: but your car does look great!!!!

I was reading about silicone in modern waxes. It seems that the silicones are not really used for shine but to aid in application. Silicones these days have been formulated to be pretty inert and not nearly as harmful to the paint as they once were. They are also fairly easy to strip in case a repaint is needed. Chemistry has come a long way...

this weekend i'v got a major detailing mission: gotta use some rubbing compound to fix some scratches/chips; repaint the chips; then wash the car; then claybar; then finally wax and then detail the inside. Oh and I told my mom I'd detail her car.
But nothing is more rewarding than a nicely detailed car.
