Meh. I don't think it's that big of a deal. Mods wil be mods, they'll do what they want regardless. If they lock a thread, just start another. All the ones that have been created about that other thread being closed are still open, so far. Just use them until the chat works.

Okay, let me tell you about the past few hours.

I'm sitting here talking away to big Rob when i get a call from a buddy of mine, Ryan, about 2:30(E) or so, and he tells me my buddy matt has wrecked his car.

Now the first thing that pops into my mind is, "why the hell is matt driving, right before I left his house I watched him kill an entire fifth of vodka."

Well, it's been POURING down rain since about 9pm last night, and he was drunk, obviously, and he hadn't heard from his girlfriend about two hours after she left his house. So like a liquored up idiot, he tried to go find her and see if she was alright. I get to Ryan's house to pick him up so we can find matt, and he tells me that Matt called and said he was at 1000 and 300. Wherever the **** that is. He also says that Matt was going around 110mph when he hydroplaned, fishtailed, 180'd and ended up in a ditch with about 3 feet of water. That little dip**** is lucky to be alive.

So we head out to try and find out where the hell he is, I end up stopping at a McLure's to see if the chick knew where 1000 and 300 was, she has no idea, so we break out a map. I found 300N, an old country road in the middle of nowhere, so that's a start. So me and Ryan head out. Halfway there, my left windshield wiper STOPS WORKING. Right one is chugging along fine, but the left one came loose and just stayed there, right in my way. This isn't the first time this has happened, but it's been over a year since that bolt came loose. So here I am, going 45-50 mph in pouring down rain when my windshield wiper stops working....not fun. After about an hour of driving, we get to the corner where matt's car is literally sunk..looks just like the titanic. he is nowhere to be found. Turns out he thought it would be a good idea to go to the nearest neighbor's house and bang on their door piss *** drunk at 3am to get help. We call him, he tells us this brilliant idea, but thankfully we found him before that happened. So here it is, 5:03am and i just walked in my room and sat down. not even a thanks from Matt, who just passed out on Ryan's couch the moment he got in the door.

I swear, some people are so ****ing inconsiderate.

Nothing like drunken idioits to make your night fun! I left 20 minutes early for work this morning because of the rain to avoid being late. I was still 20 minutes late. It took an hour and 10 minutesof less than 5mph driving with a 5-spd. Actually it was only about 60 minutes of that, the last 10 were at normal speed. My left leg is KILLING me.

Stupid idiots. Don't they remember from the last rain that you can't drive their normal idiotic ways?

Actually, PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench are more for breaking loose rusted bolts, WD-40 doesn't do a whole lot in that aspect.

Alright... Back from the dead

Yesterday I ended up staying not too late... Until 3-ish only...

I went to take a crap and fell asleep on the bowl, woke up half an hour later and told myself that if I was sleepy enough to fall asleep while taking a crap, it meant that it was real bad so I went to sleep.

This week is gonna be rough. We had to ship our 3rd person in the dept to the east side store because he was by himself all week (loser, I did it!) so that leaves me and the boss. So far no lunch today. So 10.5+ hours a day for 5 days=mega OverTIME!!! Woo Hoo! too bad I'll be exhausted!

pROBABLY won't flash must pass 3k would be my guess. I do recommend the hold brake and flash the convertor method on autos. That means hold brake and give it gas at the same time. The convertor will let the engine spin up to the stall speed and that will be the "best" launch method. In theory that works.

So I just got done setting up a new toy on my desktop computer, which makes me feel like James Bond.

I've always had a problem with leaving my computer unlocked so my roomates or my girl can watch videos and such, because they always manage to screw something up, but now I got a biometric fingerprint scanner, if they try to access or do anything I don't want them to be able to do, it'll ask for my fingerprint. :D

I got it from my work, I do IT for the Clarian Health Group in downtown Indianapolis. They have millions of dollars of equipment we are allowed to use. :)

But the thing I love most about this job is I don't have to do anything until something goes wrong. Until then, I play on my computer.

I got my permanent residence on Monday, went out and got registered for the provincial health system. Then I went to get a social insurance number (which you need to have to work) and they told me that I had the wrong piece of paper in my passport...I was none too impressed. So I'm going into the Immigration office on monday morning to fix it up. I've started applying for jobs already, so we'll see how they pan out.

I got paid Wednesday. Not sure if this is the check that pays the mortgage, or the check that pays the bills and groceries. Either way, my check is always already spent, since I get paid on Wednesday, and my wife on Friday. My check comes first, so gets spent first. Doesn't much matter though, it's all in the same account. I did just get a 4% raise on Tuesday though (effective Nov. 1). So that'll give me a little over a hundred more take-home per month.

So, for the past 27 minutes i've been staring at the same tile on the ceiling.

This is pointless for me to be here, seriously. yeah, i'm getting paid, so I shouldn't really complain, but this is the 4th night I've done a 7pm-7am shift in a row, and I've only done about 20 minutes of actual work. I would rather be busy, makes the time go by so much faster.

When they told me I was helping with the tech support for Riley Children's Hospital Go-Live, I expected it to be a madhouse...not detention with a paycheck. What Riley Go-Live is, is anything that was previously put down on paper, prescription records, patient charts, whatever, is now going straight onto computer, instead of being put on paper to later be transcribed. So in other words, cut out an unecessary step. So we deploy around 16,000 Dell pcs between Riley Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and IU University Hospital, and you would think there would be a lot of post-deployment support to work on. But nope..I'm still staring at this damn ceiling tile.

im @ work now, but im never out of stuff to do. i mean i still get bored sometimes n all, but im uber busy every moment im hear really. i hava a todo list that is over 1 page typed at a standard font, seperate task each line.

i could work OT every day for months and still not catch up.. thats what happens when your job is micro managed by a manager that knows little about it. But i keep together what i can and keep the department afoot best that can be done :P
