well, I was very, VERY disappointed as my EF catback gets older and older...
the sound isn't too bad but I didn't like the look & the way it turns gold when gets hot...
first I thought about swapping the end tip but when I went to the Lordco, I saw THIS (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=782) Magnaflow end muffler and foundout it was only $140 CAD so I bought it.
tomorrow I'm gona be able to swap this baby with the ugly EF end muffler.
I'm not sure if this was a good idea... I may be being a bit stupid...
I can refund it as long as I do not install it until tomorrow, so I decided to know what you guys think!
oh yeah by the way, I won't have to pay any for install since I know the guy very well.

I suppose that you have the same first generation EF cat-back as me (with the 3.5 inch (I beleive) cylindrical muffler). Due to the fact that I need to have my silencer in, I too want to change the end part of the system. I think it's a really good idea. If I had the money I would do it but make sure that I keep the muffler in good condition so that I can swap them whenever I feel like it. Although I really love the big loud muffler, I would personally go for the muffler style that you can tuck behind the bumper and put a tip that turns down so that you have the full benefits of the muffler design, the sound and you dont attract as much attention.

ah sorry, my cat back is the second generation EF catback.... the oval one... maybe its just me, but I just didn't like the look of the oval look.
yeah I thought about magnaflow oval ones too but for some reason, the oval ones were over $200 and all...

hmm... i think it will look good. you should have it installed a little lower on the back so that it wont tilt down and look stupid. maybe try a drifter style install tilted to the right. kinda like this on the silver elantra

Damn dude 200$, thats how much it cost me for my Muffler, High-flow cat, flex pipe, 10 feet of strait tubing, and 4 mandrel bends.

I dunno why everyone hates the evo fusion cat-back. I think you're all crazy. I have the second gen and it sounds better than any exhaust i've ever heard (aside from borla setups). Dosen't sound ricey at all and mine hasn't turned gold at all. Either way hope you get what you are looking for and everything sounds great.
