quick question about my exhaust

if i wanted to get rid of the gay stock muffle

would it be better to put in a new exhaust system or would it make no diff if i just put a new muffler on

I would be cheaper to just do the muffler, but better to do a catback. increase to 2 1/4" stainless steel catback to a new muffler.

When I dropped my stock muffler and put in an Ebay fart can, I could barely notice a difference on the butt dyno, stop watch 0-60 times were like .1 sec faster (maybe it was all in my head, and .1 sec on a stopwatch run is very inaccurate!).

When I got the piping redone with my resonator removed, there was a obvious difference (as compared to doing just the muffler).

Get your pipes redone (using the size that NY2002 suggested)... at some shops that are not afraid to do custom work it won't cost that much more than just putting in a new muffer.

If you can find a place with mandrel bends... go with 2".
