Part with some of your money and buy piaa bulbs... they are by far the best... or for a less money i think they are called eurolites... i have them in my lows and they have lasted more than a year now and i usually leave my headlights on all the time when i am driving day or night... the piaas i have in my fogs and they are brighter than when i turn my highs on at night...

PIAA's are nice bulbs, but way overpriced. I onced paid around $110 for a set from Japan. It looked nice, but it wasn't worth the price premium. If you're going to spend $60 on bulbs, just save up for an HID kit instead. Also many members have problems with bulbs burning out on their Elantra, so if you're one of those people don't waste any more money on aftermarket bulbs. OEM will be the cheapest and will probably last longer and perform better than most aftermarket bulbs.
They have a good sale on Sylvania Silverstars and the new Silverstar Ultra at Pep Boys if you're interested in that (ends the 29th of this month if I recall correctly.) IMO, the Silverstars aren't worth the money but I've never used the Ultra so I can't speak for that. From my understanding, they should be similar to the Silverstar except it should last longer.
What is it that you're looking for? A brighter bulb? The "HID" look?

I've gotten my last couple of sets from ebay, fog and lows and they've been just fine. The OEM's lasted abot 8 months before they blew. Bought some off ebay and they lasted about the same so I decided to get some silverstars. $40 and they lasted just as long as the $10 from ebay and I actually like the ebay bulbs better. Last time I ordered a couple fo sets because mine blow out so frequently, I was going to buy the voltage stabilizer but instead I'm just going to keep that money till I get enough for the HID kit.

Supposedly the European Silverstars are brighter, but even if they were, it probably wouldn't be a night and day difference like if you were to put in HIDs.
The reason why I say that is because these are just bulbs with filaments afterall, just like any household bulb in your house.
There's only so many things you can do to make it brighter.
a) Change the headlight housing so you make better use of the available light. Unfortunately with our car, the only way to do that is to do a projector retrofit.
b) Add more juice. The problem here is that most bulbs you will find are rated at 55w. If it draws the same amount of power and uses the same technology to produce that light, you will hardly see any difference. If you do use a higher rated bulb, you'll just burn out that filament even faster. Your wiring also was only made to handle 55w bulbs, so you're risking damage there. Plus, I haven't seen a single bulb rated higher than 55w that wasn't heavily coated with blue to provide the HID look.

I have not had any trouble with the ebay bulbs I have bought. I find they are similiar to OEM and cost about half as much.

blah.. i have cheap azz ebay bulbs (0.99+5.00shipping). 100watt-blue look/hid. ive had them for 2 yrs now. NO problems. i used to blow thru bulbs quicker than gas fill-ups. it was mainly from my stereo system spiking and dimming the h/l.

I was using the Silverstars up until the other night when I went to get in my car and drive home from a friends house down the street. When I turned my car on the HL's weren't on. The highs worked but not the lows. It's wierd how they burned out at the same time. I put the stock bulbs back in and they worked just fine. I think I'm gonna try the Illuminacs bulbs next. I had the Silvers since July. Not worth the money for 4 months of use.
