no idea about your question, but what i wanna know is how much you payin for that install. and are you gettin a full install + paint? i mean ive seen some good prices on kits, but always been worried about the install costs, especially with painting.. but since my ride is fairly new (only 6k miles!) im thinkin the sooner the better so the paint doesnt start to fade and i get a good match..

Well the guy cut me a good deal....he quoted me at 800+ but since I'm a good customer.... 700 FLAT....cash for both body work + paint

one question though....side skirts...3mm tape?

Are you asking if you should tape the side skirts on with 3mm tape?

YEA....b/c the guy doesn't want to put screw holes in the kit yea know...of course screw the front and back of the side skirt...but the center should he use 3mm tape?

thats cheap. i wouldnt expect very good work if i were you

you can have cheap work, or you can have good work...dont expect both...ESPECIALLY when it is body work

this guy does some good work....I've gone through him several times...just a mom and pop store... I've know him for quite some time...so I get the hook up

im just saying....dont get you're hopes up wether you know him or not. hell, i went to a national company and paid like 1100 for my car to get painted and it went back 8 times and still looked like ****.

YEA....I've had him paint both front fenders and the front bumper....twice, never had a problem with chips or any of that good stuff.... twice b/c of a few dumbasses in parking lots not caring to leave info....****ers!

but yea...I know what your say...usually you get what you pay for...but I'm pretty tight with this guy, I know he just charged a guy 1500 to mount and paint his kit...for an eclipse

My kit back in the day came with some really sticky glue stuff. It was a pain in the *** when I was taking the side skirts off when I got rid of the kit. That's what you need. Sticky glue stuff.

Congrats on the kit John! Can't wait to see pics. I really like that kit, I might go w/that one or the m&s lip kit. You will be the pimped out elantra in FL for now......but I will catch up to u. HA! ;)

yea....and next I'm gonna see if I can get my front fenders vented....same shop will do it for me..and he said he'll have left over paint so he'll do it for under 100....yay...but I have to find some kind of venting that I like...not like the tibby that's for sure

update on first post

what it looks like so far....I'm so impatient, the only thing I don't like so far is that there is a 1 inch space between the grill and the hood....

just ignore evan. he got burned by a company several times and is still griping about it.

my car is giong to get paitned for about 1500 by a guy around where i live and i've seen the work he does. its amazing. thats including prep, paint, clear, everything

You just spent thousands on a kit and don't have a digital camera??? This is one of those occasions that you go out and buy a new camera, like when a baby is born, or you go on an exotic vacation.

they put screw on the end...and I think tape in the middle

most of the time i've seen it screwed and some green glue to mount sideskirts and lips but 3mm tape should work fine. tell us if you see some sagging overtime
