i finally learned of a elantra w/ turbo in my hood so i contact the owner so i can see/ride before i shell out the $$,now this guy is suspicious that i may steal his car, well good then! this maybe a blessing in disguise...

That's sad he think you are going to steal it. How do you buy cars down there? How big the spinners are?

The guy isn't trying to sell the car, that's probably why he's nervous. If some random person asked to take a ride in my car, I'd be nervous too. If a coworker said they had a friend that was into the kind of car I had, I'd be more willing to give them a ride...

to clearify, my freind that works in the same hospital as that male nurse who owns the 05 turbo elantra doesnt really know him per say, he just walked up to the guy one day and started conversation about the elantra and mentioned that he had a freind (me)who is interested in turbo-ing , so i was able to get the guy's tel #. We talked about 5min and i asked him if i could hook up with him to see the car, he said he would get back to me, but he didnt. I really wanted to see for myself.
