the inner part of the seats are like a "metallic" fiber. thats why it looks different(close up on the STi logo)

They look sweet but something has to be done with the STI logo. That kind of sucks. (This is just me if youre confortable then leave it like that). They look pretty regardless.

How much were the seats? What was involved in the install?

Yeah, I wouldn't like them because they have the logo, eventhough they are probably 30 times more comfortable than the Elantra seats.

Well it's not like he can just take the logos off, they are sown on. It would be difficult to remove the STi stitching without messing up the rest.

Do it the cheap and easy way. Put an iron-on patch over the STI logo of whatever logo you would actually like there.

yeah, it just stands for subaru tecnica international or whatever.
They made good seats, and you use them in your car, i'd keep the logo.

It's the same thing as having a NISMO sticker on your honda, a type-R badge on your toyota, or a GT-R badge on your elantra XD

See, then the problem really ISN'T the STi logo on the seats.
The REAL problem is the marketing of these logos that places people in a position to say: That's silly to put a GT-R badge on a Honda, Type-R on a Toyota, or STi on a Hyundai.
But, since we are Hyundai modifiers, that means we are creative right! So, make something up for what the STi stands for:
For Example:
Super Turbo international,....
System Technology Inc.
Street Tire Issue
Something can be created to stand for that logo. Personally, I think it's cool.

Gayest thing I have ever seen was a black lumina on 20's, all black out, with benz emblems. It was immediately after hurricane Ivan and I never saw that car again. Hopefully he just realized what a douche he was and drove the car into the bay and claimed it as hurricane damage.
The STI does look a bit off on the seats but if there's no simple way to take it off then why bother, they look way better than stock anyways.

It's like putting a Ford badge on a Chevy.
Or Chevy on a Ford..whichever you prefer.
It just doesn't work.
i like it, and if i bought a part from something else and installed it i dont think i would go outa my way to cover a logo or label, not unless it was something really gaudy
i wouldnt change my seats out though, the 06 have the air bags in them and if the insurance found out theyd up my costs.. not that they go door to door, but if i was in an accident, theyd find out

haha, nice posts. well i like the STi logo. so its going to stay.
for the install the longest thing was makeing a new bracket, thats what took the longest. but fter that was done it went smooth.. there are very supportavie and comfy. i can get these seats for any one who wants them, with of without the STi logo. let me know if you want them. i have to ask how much because i have a sponsorship so price is diff fo me.

How exactly did you make a bracket? I'm buying some seats off of a friend and need to do the same.

we use a metal plate, cut it and welded it to make a braket.
take measurements of the seat mounts then cut the metal to that length then measure the elantra seat brackets and cut a peice to match up with that then weld the two together, ill take pics later today.
