Started a new project this morning finished one of the turn signal lights
The driving and brake lights are going to require more thought tried a couple of things but they looked weird might make a X for the driving lights and a D for the brake lights side by side XD but time will tell.

its nice to have a day off eh
Happy Thanks Giving

Have you crossed into the 1,000 mark with the amount of LEDs on your car yet? haha. I think I like the looks of this one the best of anything you've posted yet. Did you have to get one of those 'little box things' to keep your turn signal from going hyper-active because it thinks a bulb is burnt out?

that looks good, how did you do it?

i didnt know about the hyper light prob i have not hooked it up to car yet i working on the other side now...maybe i should find out =p

^ the hyper light problem comes from the car not detecting enough draw from the LEDs, since they take way less energy than the incand. bulb. It thinks the bulb is burned out, so the rapid-flash occurs. The 'little box' thing simply makes the draw what it should be. You might be ok with the number of LEDs you've used though. Trial and error I guess.

im using 10 LEDs there amp draw is something like 10 times less or even more
with that said went to the car and rigged it in and yes it has the hyper light problem so what are these box's exactly and do auto parts stores commonly carry them... i could just wire the old light in line and have it mounted in the trunk or something but eehh might not look to clean that way.

That looks pretty good. Want to fill us in on the details exactly?

Keep up the good work Mr. Pro Member.

Looks very cool ... and probably invisible when they are not lit, right?

Let's see some details on your work! Please?

Another option is to use 24 LEDs in each lamp replacement.

6 LEDS in series, 4 sets in parallel will correctly drop a 12v source. I've used a couple hundred LEDs in various brake light mods on my 1999 Tracker and have never had a voltage problem.

I'll prolly go wild on my Elantra once the warranty expires. Until then, I'm not going to chance voiding it.

Thanks good advice however if i use anymore than the 12 LED's i think it will look tacky there just so much room.
i do love the diagram tho

AS to how and details once i get everything working right ill put a DIY up for it tho im still working on the brake/driving lights so will be awhile probaly.

i have not got around to buying the load equalizers yets however for now i just wired the stock bulbs in line inside the truck so i can use the signals normaly till i get around to fixing it...during the day it looks ok but at night it looks pretty good. when i get around to finishing this project up ill put a DIY up or something.

couldnt you just use a resistor of sorts to fix the problem?
put it in line - before they wire goes into the bank of LED's, and that would solve the problem - the LED's arnt getting the full voltage so dont hyperflash...

might be a little cheaper maybe? im not sure

not idea what value resistor to use, but im sure it wouldnt be too hard?

Putting a resistor in series would cause the drop to be sufficient to keep the system from going hyper. I'm just too lazy at this moment to calculate the values you might need to do this. Look up ohms law and find out what the draw needs to be, or use an amp meter to determine the current current draw with an incandescent bulb, then determine the required current for the LED, plug in the numbers and voila, the size resistor you require.

i ordered a couple yesterday off ebay for like 10 dollars for 2 but yes i have a feeling they are just plain resistors in fancy cases =p

edit: checked the auction i won again they are indeed just resistors 25ohm,25watt . Oh well like i said they have fancy cases very impressive heh.
