Well, My dad took his Elantra in to the dealership for a CEL, and he got something to do with a camshaft position sensor. They also tried to charge him $170 for plugs and wires. so, after having a brief conversation with him, He's not going to give them the money for plugs and wires, seeing as I can handle thta for about $40 or so (buying from rockauto.com)

On to the hard part...where can I find one of these sensors? I've tried rockauto and they don't seem to have it, does that mean its something that needs to be bought from the dealership? Also, can anyone confirm the location of this sensor? I think its on the cylinder head, on the edge closest to the passenger side, hidden between the head and fuel rail.

Has anyone changed this part out before? I'm guessing it shouldn't be much more than unplugging the battery and than taking the part out and replacing it...but i'd rather do my research first.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me!

www.hyundaipartsonline.com usually has decent prices, but without a part number, i've found its a bit of a ***** to find exactly what you're looking for.

I like using the link on hyundaiusa.com to find the part number then go there, if its something that isn't painfully obvious Ill just use there search thing. Close to the same way to search but at the same time it seems to miss certain parts.
