hey guys do you think it's better to run the tranny lines into the cooler from the line closest to the passenger side, or the line closest to the driver side...i've heard mixed opinions, like that if you do it one way, then the tranny fluid will be too cool (156 deg) and the other way will make it run nice (175 deg)...let me know! i already ****ed this up by putting a hole in my radiator when i pushed the nylon bolts through...so i get a second chance i guess :(

Just a quick thought. If they have to pull your radiator and swap in a new one have the cooler mounted on the radiator before it goes back in the car. I have a 5sp so I don't know which lines to use. I do know that you can run a cooler as a stand alone system or in line with your factory one. If you run it in line you will have slightly higher temps. If you choose to use it as a stand alone cooler then the temps will be lower. It shouldn't matter that much as far as if the cooler before or after the factory cooler. Also ask yourself how you plan on driving your car. Do you run it hard or launch it hard consistently? Do you have excessively hot summers or transverly cold winters where you live? That might help you decide how to run the cooler.

Well, everything I have ever read for aftermarket tranny coolers says install it after the OEM cooler. That is how I installed mine and have had no issues in almost 15,000 miles. I have no tranny temp sensor, so I don't know what my fluid temp is getting up to though, so all I can go on is how it shifts and such. Supposidly if the tranny fluid does not get hot enough you can have issues.

What direction does the fluid flow from driver to pass or other way around? This is something I'm worried about too. I've read on other sites you could get the fluid too cool and cause issues. I'm in tx and the during the times i drive the temp outside at its worst is like 30 fahrenheit thats about -1 celcius for you otherlanders :D

this question thread is gonna turn into a dealer flame real quick. i took my car to the dealer to get the tranny flush and they said that i punctured it, so i ripped it out, took it to the best radiator shop around here, and my guy said that the radiator got bent a litle and has a small nick that can be fixed with ****ing epoxy. hmm lets see, 3 dollar epoxy, or 450 for a new radiator (360 for the part, and 80 for labor). i cant take it man ****in retards working at the dealer, trying to screw me. then at the dealer, they told me that the aftermarket radiators were 380 instead of the dealership 360...so i went to autozone and looked up the transpro radiator, and it was 205...APPARENTLY THE DEALERSHIP FORGOT TO CHECK THE MOST POPULAR AFTERMARKET RADIATOR COMPANY IN THE U.S. HMMMM i left the dealership scared and abused cause i figured paying that much money was like having sex with kobe bryant...not matter how much you kick and scream...its gonna happen. ****.
