If not, then he must be a very satisfied customer. ;D

Same here. When I bought my car, stereo was first, followed by tint.

Nice car! Did you buy the car with those hubs/rims? They don't look like the standard hubs.

Troy, huh? Mrs. Doohickie is a Troylette. Kind of. She went to Tamarac High in Brunswick. (I went to RPI.)
If you need some fog lights, check out my fog light DIY (http://www.dfwhyundais.com/diy/FogLights/DIY-FogLights.html).
Are those alloys or wheel covers? Are they stock? (I've never seen that style on an Elantra before.)

they're covers....I must say they look pretty nice too.

They are covers and I don't really care to admit where i goth them... *cough... autozone... *choke. They are just for the winter. The great northeast can be tough on nice wheels and tires. Troy is a place to be only when you need to be dookickie... my wife-to-be is attending Russell Sage.

tint is 15% all the way around. The tint on the front doors is illegal in the empire state i guess... not really sure... officer
15 damn, i have 20 in the back and i think its hard to see when backing up

NEW STUFF! Did the throttle body coolant bypass today. The DIY's you guys post are awesome. Thanks. Also found this huge filter at autozone made by K&N and it fits perfectly over the end of the stock intake tube... right after the mass airflow sensor. The sound is awesome. Went on the highway and I don't know if I'm just imagining it but I think i found 100 faster than usual. This thing really sucks. :)

And this video gives an idea of what the car sounds like with that intake setup. I had my girlfriend, my dog, and of course my two twelves in the car so top speed was not reached but the sound is what i was mostly trying to record...

Thank you very much. The video was taken with a phone so i didn't quite get the sound i was looking for. I assure you this car with the K&N SRI and the flowmaster muffler sounds ... meaty.

In your video, is that wind buffeting I hear at the higher speeds?
lcanajoharie
01-25-2007, 05:10 PM
ummm... not really. At least if I remember correctly it's not. The elantra is actually pretty smooth in excess of 100mph. all my windows were up and like i said that was taken with a camera phone. it does get loud in there at that speed but no choppy wind sound or "buffeting". don't know that word but i think i know what it means... choppy noise right.. no we had none of that.

how much did that K&N filter set you back?? and part number? i may want in on that
assuming that that setup would be better then my intake minus the resonator box. would it?

it was 60 bucks at autozone. the dif in performance is small. the sound is awesome. it's part # E-1009. I like it because it fits snugly over the stock intake right after the MAF sensor.
