With religous holidays fast approaching, I honestly have no idea what to get my girlfriend....or myself for that matter.

It seems like buying her gifts used to be so easy....I cant think of anything she needs, and she doesnt know what she wants...so it makes it exceedingly difficult.

we've been together for about 3.5 years, I am not necessarily trying to wow her socks off, so something in the $50-100 range will suffice.

she's a 20 year old pre-med student if that helps with anything.

Things that I think she doesnt need/have already gotten her:
necklace, perfume, earrings, digital camera...thats all I can think of right now.

and lastly, can you think of anything that a car guy ought to have?

maybe the parts to replace the timing belt... or a cabin air filter, and oil filter/oil....
I've got a ton of tools...the only one I can think of that I might want is my own torque wrench(es?)...it honeslty wouldnt get much use unless I replaced the cylinder head or something.

so post away with what you're getting yourself/what you're getting the woman for the holidays

I got my girlfriend a lcd picture frame. It just does a slide show off the memory card. She's getting a digital camera and i think she's going to love it. I got it for about 90 bucks shipped. I think anyone would like it.

umm, not sure what to tell you, you could go out for a really nice dinner or something thats like $50 a plate, but thats not really a gift.. I've seen those picture frames at staples and it was cool. I'm getting my gf a 1ct diamond necklace but that doesnt really help you any (cant go wrong with diamonds lol)

Girls will always appreciate jewelry ... it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg and they will have it forever.

The only piece of jewelry I've ever got as a gift for my wife is the engagement and wedding ring. I don't buy jewelry, plain and simple.

She is getting the ER Season 6 DVD and maybe the Desperate Housewives Season 1 DVD (we have been watching reruns on Lifetime), yay for hot older chicks.

I'm getting Wii games.

I'd go with books, that is what I bought as gifts for everyone I did shopping for and for $50 you can get a few, or use it as a companion gift to something else.

I bought my gf a pair of boots that she has been "waiting for them to go on sale" which wont happen, so i put down the $140 for em. Actually paying attention to what she looks at while at the mall together sure saved my *** this year cuz if it wasn't for that i would have had no idea what to get her.

Damn, I'm glad I'm not on your list. Books?!?!?! Might as well give me toilet paper. Haha. But yeah, that's a good choice for others, I agree.

get her a Wii!

We have a winner.

Get her the same pair and be like "I bought em before you did IT'S YOUR FAULT!!!!" that would be funny. And don't forget to run out the door crying.

Thats what I was planning on spending and somehow now I'm getting a $1500 necklace lol wtf, but its only gonna cost me $700 (she works at the jewelers)..
you could get her a new BOV and tell her if she listens really carefully she can hear it go "I love you " haha

fortunately I was saved, she said she wants a coat....not sure why since it was 75 degrees today...but as long as it makes her happy, lol.

kewlkat, i'd just harass her until she gives you a lead on what she might want.
