Hey guys as some of you may know I my car has been getting f'd up lately and Im gonna be getting work done on the body to bring it back to normal. BUT! I will be spending a bit of $ and am thinking of getting a two-tone paintjob instead of just getting the scrathces and dents filled in and the paint touched up. So i need some ideas and maybe some samples of some two-tone paint jobs/schemes. I have been doing some stuff in photoshop but I don't have alot of time to come up with stuff because of work. I was thinking of keeping the silver on top and the bottom part of the car below the body line a darker silver or gunmetal or something. Lemme get some ideas from you guys. BTW I'm pursuing a carbonfiber hood and i dont think i'll paint it. Here or some pics to work with.

plan on dropping 3k for a good paint job...whatever you do, dont make mistakes i did and go to any place that rhymes with "maaco" or offers paint packages for a single price for all cars

hell naw man im not goin to maaco, im getting it done by my body man and im planning on speding a good amount $1500-$2000 im not getting the door jambs or engine painted and im taking everything off at his shop. Im like a prefered customer since i've spent alot with them and advertised for them at car shows.

why are you not painting the jambs?! IMO that is one of the dumbest things to do when painting a car, especially when it gets shown...door jambs take no time to hit and t will look sooooo much better and more thought out than just spraying everything and leaving them alone...

^^^ I agree.

Silver on top, then some kind of small seperating line then the Steel Gray on the bottom. You could use the VW, or Acura, or Hyundai Gray like that.

I was thinking about doing a two-tone with mine. Im thinking of doing from the bottom of the window lines up in black.

Pretty subtle, and enough to contrast the silver and tinted tails.

And if I ever run into a CF hood, im thinking i'll do the top of the trunk in black to.

that steel grey is the color of my g/fs mazda3. i love it, and thats why soon it will have 35% tint and black wheels w/ chrome lip in 18"

I agree with the steel grey for the bottom.

two unrelated things

1) I love those rims.
2) Is that a pringles can thats holding your hood up?

well this is kinda what myt idea is, I've been thinking of having the front end carbonfiber when I get the hood. This is sorta what im thinking about. Im not sure how it will really look altogether though cuz i can only do so much in photoshop. I kinda like it more w/ just the fender in carbonfiber.

That's not a bad chop Dave. But to be honest, when you only paint one or two pieces of the car it tends to look like just that. The paint job would need to fade into the doors or something. I don't know.

^^ Thats an idea, I was thinking it looked decent cause it was CF but.. it still looked like you just slapped on some different colored parts if it faded it would like much better

Carbon fiber hood / trunk would be cool but get the rest of the car painted. If you go two tone I like black/gray or something like that two darker colors with the lighter on top. But anyway just my 2c
