Someone with a user name of viagra joining up I really doubt owns an xd or even wants to learn about them. Is there a way to like filter usernames people sign up with you know? The obvious ones at least are kind of annoying. Plus with the dirty NSFW spam is starting to worry me about using xd at work. Wondering if anyonelese feels this way and if we could do anything about it.

Thanks

Marcus

ps happy birthday Robert1955 ;)

No actually the root file directory for all your files is unsecured and anyone can access it by looking at where you host your avatar then just back space and voila

This is way off the original topic but the Pic directory is open for all to see on purpose some of the other directories are not its all good nice cat ;)

How about filtering new user names can it be done?

You can block anythng you want, it is jsut a matter of entering it. Several problems though, way too many names and domains to enter (millions). It is easier to just delete them in many cases, or make it so a human has to approve users before they post.

I don't see what the issue is, most spam posts are easy to spot, and if you see a post by "sexyazz" or "viagro" don't click it at work.

That's a pretty cool username. There is stuff you can filter, but what if someone really helpful wanted to be V1agraMAN or something.

Better than that, I guess I really need to get on the Moderate First 5 Posts idea, which will stop the spam bots from posting.

Yep! The 5 post moderation seems to be the better option out there.
