Wood Dash Trim

Well, I spoke to Hyundai and they told me the wood dash replacement is no longer available and is dicontinued!! I don't know if they're just not willing to do the leg work or if its really as they say. My dealer is so unhelpful!

I tried ebay - no luck and I even went as far as trying another dealer out of my area - still no luck! everyone else offers the stick-on laminate which is becoming a realistic option!

How can it be discontinued, I thought the wood trim is standard on the 2006 Limited. Like Super said, I would go to another dealer.

Accessories are not mandated by the goov't to be carried for any length of time like replacement parts. Odd. . . mine was a "port installed" accessory so that means it arrived at the dealership with the woodgrain on it. I thought that the catalogs used to show the wood grain number as a replacement part. I can guarantee the accessory kit is gone.

I spoke to a rep from my local dealership today. He has a friend overseas at Hyundai International who told him that part no longer exsists. It has been totally discontinued. Same goes for our OEM black dash! Can't get it! So for anyone who painted their dash and was thinking of replacing it back to the orginal, will have the same problem of finding it!

That's for the 2004-2005 Elantra and I actually spoke to them on the phone. They gave me the same answer..... OEM dash replacements for 2003 Elantra's and earlier are no longer available from Hyundai Motors. I'll have to start looking into local reck yards for donor cars!

Fortunately there are tons of smashed ones out there. You're bound to find one with wood trim if you look long enough.
